The punk movement sprang up on the east coast in the late 1960s. It crossed the Atlantic and virtually exploded in London and Paris. This dynamic counter movement churned out heaps of photocopied, hand stapled fanzines that expressed ideas, music and works of art. Some became professional magazines. By creating its own press, the punk movement secured its place and its voice in the history of 20th century art and culture. The book Punk Press compiles the stunning graphics created by these publications, spanning from the East Village, to East London, to the Left Bank, featuring multiple collages, cutouts and handcrafted typography, standing as a visual tour through one of music's most influential movements.

Throughout his life, the famous trunk maker and inveterate traveler Gaston Louis Vuitton (Louis Vuitton's grandson) amassed a collection of over 3,000 hotel publicity stickers and labels. Globetrotters would proudly affix these to their luggage, and indeed the labels' graphic representations of the hotels, their typography, and their colors evoke an era when travel was synonymous with an art of living. Featuring over 800 of these labels, a wealth of period photographs, and 10 vintage postcards, World Tour visits 21 stopovers around the globe, stopovers that reflect the favorite destinations and pursuits of cosmopolitan travelers: seaside stays on the French Riviera, skiing in Chamonix or Zermatt, cultural tours of Athens or Mexico, beach vacations in Honolulu or Capri...the list goes on.

Lee Alexander McQueen (1969-2010) is widely recognized as one of the leading fashion designers of his time, whose work combined esthetic vision, emotional power, and extraordinary craft. He was especially known for staging provocative shows that were as much performances as venues to display his designs. The book's imagery is equally evocative, ranging from the pop ephemera that has become "collectible" throughout the chronically nostalgic developed world to the superb photographs of Turkish photographer Ara Guler. Combining compelling art and writing, The Innocence of Objects is an original work that will appeal to readers with a wide range of interests.
