27 Men 10 Nations One Spirit
BORA - hansgrohe is one of the world's most successful professional cycling teams. 27 Men 10 Nations one Spirit provides a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the German team. What makes the riders tick, and who plays what role? How does the team behind the team work? How did the races go during the exciting 2018 season? Powerful images make this book a thrilling tour-not just for cycling fans.
There are few sports as accessible as cycling. Whether day races or big tours, hundreds of thousands of followers flock to the roadside to watch the cyclists ride by. They come so close to their idols that they can almost count the beads of sweat.
A must for all cycle fans, this illustrated book is as direct and emotional as a roadside view. It presents each of BORA - hansgrohe's riders up close and through very personal testimonies, including the team's star and one of the most dazzling figures of contemporary cycling: Slovak Peter Sagan. But Sagan's great achievements would not have been possible as a one-man show. In addition to his teammates many others contribute to BORA - hansgrohe's success, from the physiotherapist to the cook. They, too, share their experience from inside this phenomenal team.
Stunning race photos capture the riders through all the highs and lows of the sport-the daring departures, the full speed sprints, the falls and injuries, the exhaustion, the throngs of cheering fans-as well as breathtaking locations.
Cow A Tribute
"For thousands of years, they have crossed continents with us, traversed mountain ranges and seas with us: our loyal, ever-devoted and supportive fellow travelers. We should be bound by affection for our close companion, the cow." Werner Lampert
"It will take eons of love to repay animals for their services and generosity to us."
With this quote from Christian Morgenstern, leading sustainability expert and organic entrepreneur Werner Lampert adorns his illustrated book, The Cow: A Tribute, a project very dear to his heart. Lampert developed a passion for cattle from an early age. Again and again, he was drawn to the pastures of his native Austria to admire these dignified, gentle animals and their calming effect. With its rich photography, this evocative book pays tribute to the soulfulness of cattle and the special bond between man and cow, much threatened in our age of industrial-scale farming. Around the world, Lampert and his team of select photographers have tracked down the most beautiful, rare cattle, capturing them in their natural and often spectacular surroundings with empathy and respect. A touching testimony to a much-loved animal, the gorgeous images in The Cow: A Tribute are rounded out with profound, at times poetic, texts; informative facts and history about different cattle breeds; and entertaining anecdotes.

To achieve such proximity, Poliza shows masterful sensitivity and patience, not only towards the baby animals themselves, but also with their fiercely protective mothers. Streets of Paris
As one of Europe's most vibrant cities for art, fashion, and culture, it's challenging to capture the multifaceted city of Paris from the perspective of one lens. Therefore, Streets of Paris bundles the work of 37 photographers, both Paris natives and visitors alike, who roam the thousands of Parisian "rues" to capture multiple points of view. When combined, their independent visual voices show an unprecedented collection of Paris images.
Unique views of the city's Haussmann architecture and famous landmarks like the Louvre Museum and the Eiffel Tower reveal an evocative city portrait. Lively areas overflowing with art and fashion, as well as lesser-known impressions of the city's "banlieues", are all captured with a wide-eyed love for "la Ville Lumiere."

A Scented World
This extensive volume delves into the world of fragrances-- the iconic brands and the creative minds behind the most fabulous perfumes. Fascinating interviews with parfumiers reveal their inspiration and explore such topics as how fragrances can be used at home or as signature scent.
Try to describe a smell without thinking back to a place and time and it's impossible not to have all five senses come into play. Scent is immersed in our lives. It conjures up memories of travels and temperatures, feelings about people and things. Fragrance transports you and can make your heart skip a beat. In A Scented World by author and design journalist Claire Bingham, we step inside the cradle of haute parfumerie and meet the talented aesthetes of the industry who are creating the most soothing and tantalizing scents for our olfactories. Where does the future of fragrance lie? How does the creation of a new scent begin? How do you capture the essence of a moment and release it upon a person's skin? More than just a nose, their philosophy combines art and science.
Part designer, cook, visionary, and engineer, their trade is built on a passion for botanicals and intuition. These fragrance heroes have the ability to take something everyday and with a unique blend of ingredients, craft it into something quite exquisite. This book steps into the lives of the modern perfume elite and discovers how to create an atmosphere just like the pros. As important as good food, wine, or music, fragrance brings beauty to daily life. Perfume is food for the soul.
Captain's Dinner
Capturing life at sea through engaging photographs, compelling stories, and authentic fisherman's recipes, this characterful volume is a one-of-a-kind companion for all sea lovers with a sense of adventure and appetite.
Whether in the shimmering sunshine of the Adriatic Coast or up against a two-and-a-half-meter swell in Brittany, Captain's Dinner is a maritime journey of discovery through the world of fishing. What does it mean to be dependent on the vagaries of nature on a daily basis? What is it like to haul in fishing nets in rain and galeforce 8 wind? How do freshly caught breams, herring, etc. actually end up on deck by lunch break and on the plate by night? In search of answers, photographer Paul Pflüger braved the wind and weather to accompany 27 fishermen at work on European seas, observing their daily routine over several months. The result is a lively, intimate, and unadulterated logbook of fishing and life at sea, combining captivating portraits of the protagonists alongside their own commentaries on the delicate craft and hard labor that make up a fisherman's existence today, not least when faced with critically-diminished fish stocks and attendant fishing quotas. The featured fishermen also share their own favorite, previously-unpublished seafood dishes, from fried onion herb herring to Irish surf & turf or cold smoked mullet. With more than 50 of these delicious, simple seafood recipes, Captain's Dinner is a must for all those who love and care about the sea and its unique flavors.
Old Houses Made New
The book is a compendium of homes, including apartments and single-family houses, that have been remodeled to suit contemporary lifestyle needs. Rehabilitations of living spaces are often done to reanimate existing constructions that, over time, have become impractical, if not obsolete. The challenge is to adapt these existing buildings to contemporary standards while maintaining what might still be useful or what we like about them. Most old buildings are very compartmentalized, reflecting the human habits of their time and the available building technology. Nowadays, we like to live in much more open and airy spaces--and new building methods allow for the removal of walls that ultimately free up space. We renovate and upgrade living spaces to various degrees, ranging anywhere from upgrading fixtures and appliances to removing and reconstructing walls and expanding buildings.
While extensive work is sometimes required, these rehabilitations can result in stunning transformations. Many add comfort and increase utility, not to mention that the investment generally adds value to the property. This inspirational book showcases a range of rehabilitated projects, from ones that begin by totally stripping out interiors to a clean slate, to less extensive work that might be limited to cosmetic changes or simple finish and fixture upgrades. Existing dwellings have proved themselves flexible to changing necessities, and they are key to the regeneration of our living environment.

As a collection, the images build in scope and power, leaving you profoundly affected and deepening your sense of commitment to protect these stunning parts of our planet. - Leonardo DiCaprio, June 2018
Amaze
Cristina Mittermeier knows a thing or two about water. Trained as a marine biologist and a photographer, the Mexico City-born Mittermeier combines her work behind the lens with her passion for environmentalism, taking pictures around the world to explore our relationship to the earth and ocean and to draw attention to the beauty and the plight of our planet.
In Amaze, Mittermeier elicits our wonder and awe at the natural world and the labyrinth or "maze" of navigating a sustainable existence. The book combines two series: "Enoughness" and "The Water's Edge." The first draws out Mittermeier's philosophy for a mindful and sustainable way of being in the world. Bringing together photographs from some of the most isolated corners of the earth, the book shows wild animals, remote landscapes, and indigenous peoples--challenging the cult of material wealth and proposing alternatives for a meaningful and sustainable connection to our environment, each other, and ourselves.
In "The Water's Edge," Mittermeier presents photographs from around the globe that capture the frontier between land and ocean and the special meaning it has for human life. Whether it is fishermen bringing in their daily haul, women washing laundry in the shallows, or surfers frolicking in the spray, the water's edge is revealed as an integral and universal space in which ephemeral moments reveal not only our common dependency on the planet, but also our common humanity.
As much an inspiration for sustainable living as a staggering collection of nature photography, Amaze i s a must-have book for all those who care about our planet and those we share it with.
My Himalaya
The work of Olivier Föllmi exudes authenticity and spirituality. For more than 40 years, the prize-winning photographer has documented the landscape and peoples of the Himalayas, a region he first got to know on a hiking trip in the 1980s. Captivated by Tibetan culture, people, and their harmonious coexistence with nature, Föllmi returned to the mountain region on numerous occasions--at times as a mountain guide, at others to live and learn from spiritual leaders in a Buddhist temple. The Himalayas became his destiny, and he became one of the most sensitive and insightful observers of life in Tibet.
This rich photo book of the Himalayas is at once a remarkable retrospective and an homage to the Tibetan culture and spirituality which has so defined and characterized Föllmi's life and work. Page after page reveals photographs of extraordinary emotion, color, tradition, and beauty, alongside inspiring anecdotes and stories from the photographer. My Himalaya is an enriching and enlightening book for anyone looking toward a more mindful way of life, as well as for all those interested in photography, trekking, landscape, and Buddhism.

Santiago's captivating aerial storm photographs, featured in a number of prestigious galleries, are brought together for the first time in this book, accompanied by lively and informative texts about the dramatic weather phenomena his photos reveal. For anyone captivated by life above the clouds and the violent beauty of nature, Borja's images offer awesome insights into a tempestuous world.
