Skvelá kniha Bernardine Evaristo, ktorá v roku 2019 zaslúžene získala Bookerovu cenu, rozpráva príbeh dvanástich britských žien. Riešia sa v nej pritom aj témy ako rasizmus, feminizmus, vzťahy medzi matkami a dcérami, ale aj závislosť, násilie či predsudky. Je písaná netradičným spôsobom - chýbajú v nej veľké písmená na začiatku viet a bodky na ich konci, na to si však rýchlo zvyknete. Jednoznačne odporúčam.
