In 1976, the magazine "L'Architecture d'Aujourd'hui" came to Portugal to investigate Portuguese architecture after the 25th of April revolution, and this became the theme of issue no. 185 of May/June 1976. Titled "Portugal Year II," it published projects and testimonies about Portuguese architecture. The SAAL project, launched by Nuno Portas, was analyzed and publicized through cartoons by Jo?o Abel Mata about the PREC (Processo Revolucionário em Curso - Ongoing Revolutionary Process).
In 2006, exactly thirty years after the publication of issue no. 185 of "L'Architecture d'Aujourd'hui," two members of the Board of Directors of the Order of Architects (OA) met in Paris with the magazine's director to request its republication. The magazine was not only republished, but a new issue, No. 366, was also published in September/October 2006, which discusses Portuguese architecture 30 years later.
