A titkok meddig képesek megmérgezni a kapcsolatokat?
Figyelem, a könyv tele van meglepetésekkel!

získala prestížne ceny Waterstones Book of the Year aj Barnes & Noble Book of the Year a dojala
viac než 10 miliónov čitateľov po celom svete, prichádza Charlie Mackesy s novou, rovnako hlbokou
a nežnou knihou Nikdy nezabúdaj.
zhon, smútok i neistotu.
skutočná a koláč často pomôže viac než slová. Keď sa na oblohe zjavia
tmavé mraky, chlapec si musí spomenúť, čo potrebuje, aby zvládol búrku.
Táto novinka opäť nesie Mackesyho rukopis: nehu, múdrosť, humor a
A poszthumánnak tekintett alkotások elsősorban a transzgresszió, azaz a határsértés aktusa révén artikulálódnak a kortárs művészeti térben: ennek lényeges vonása, hogy a teljes határátlépés lehetetlen, vagyis a jelen kötetben is tárgyalt határsértő művek tulajdonképpen folyamatosan a lehetetlent kísértik. Győrffy interpretációinak másik lényeges kulcsszava az abject, azaz a taszító objektumok filozófiája. A biztonságot jelentő szimbolikus rend áthágása által megkérdőjelezhetővé válik a test egysége és a lélek transzcendenciája, ami új értelmezői hozzáállást követel meg.
A képzőművészeti munkák elemzése filozófiai, irodalmi, filmes és zenei példákat is mozgósító intertextuális burjánzás, amely a hibrid test tematikáját Jake & Dinos Chapman mellett olyan művészeken keresztül közelíti meg, mint Cindy Sherman, Joel-Peter Witkin, Paul McCarthy, Patricia Piccinini, Wim Delvoye, Marc Quinn, Glenn Brown, Szöllősi Géza vagy Kis Róka Csaba. Bár a kötet alapvetően a nemzetközi szintér képviselőire fókuszál, a Budapest Horror jelenségének áttekintésével, valamint a szerző saját képzőművészeti munkáival is foglalkozik.
A Poszthumán stratégiák a Prae Kiadó kultúratudományi sorozatának legújabb darabja, az antropocentrikus szemléletet kritizáló poszthumanista gondolkodást ismertető monográfiák (Horváth Márk - Lovász Ádám - Nemes Z. Márió: A poszthumanizmus változatai, 2019; Horváth Márk: Az antropocén, 2021) folytatásának is tekinthető.

The Oxherd Boy
Inspired by thousands of years of Chinese thought, an enchanting and heart-opening illustrated fable about a young boy who explores the many ways to make meaning and find joy in the everyday.
Sometimes you can only do a small, small thing. And that can make all the difference.
In this exquisitely illustrated parable grounded in the three pillars of Chinese philosophy, a young boy, his family ox, and a rabbit living in his garden help each other navigate the daily work of love, compassion, and community. Examining the world through the lenses of Taoism, Buddhism, and Confucianism, their conversations convey tender, uplifting messages for life's various crossroads.
As they adopt a sparrow, bathe in rivers, comfort their neighbors, and tend to their chores, the characters' different perspectives are reflected in their conversations: the boy's Taoist love of nature and all it entails, the ox's Buddhist compassion for others, and the rabbit's Confucian practice of mutual respect and care. While they don't always agree, the friends settle on the basic truth that purpose comes from simply engaging with life--and with each other.
Painted in a contemporary gongbi style, one of the oldest continuous art forms in the world, the atmospheric illustrations from Taiwanese American artist Regina Linke conjure a timeless, mystical land where the friends have made their home. The potent combination of magnificent art and gentle revelations will capture the hearts of readers, whatever their age.
My Roman Year
1960s Rome. As teenage André stands on the dock, his mother fusses over their luggage - 32 suitcases, trunks and tea chests that contain their world. The ship will refuel and return to Alexandria, the home where they have left their father, as the Aciman family begin a new adventure in Rome. André is now head of the family, with a little brother to keep in line and a mother to translate for - for although she's mute, she is nothing if not communicative.
Equal parts transporting and beautiful, this coming of age memoir shares the luminous, fragile truth of life for a family forever in exile, living in Rome, but still yet to find a home.

Margaret Drabble on the Romantics
A highly acclaimed exploration of the way in which the landscape has both influenced and been represented in British Romantic literature.
Margaret Drabble on the Romantics presents an image of Britain as seen through the eyes of some of its most celebrated authors. Many of the Romantics, as well as their successors, are closely associated with particular landscapes – the Wordsworths with the Lake District, Walter Scott with the Scottish Borders, the Brontë sisters with West Yorkshire. Margaret Drabble deepens our understanding of this connection, unpacking the Romantics' fascination with all varieties of rural landscape, from roaring seas to tranquil villages, while also exploring their writing's subtler associations.
Herself a star in the literary firmament, Drabble illuminates how this love of place fashioned some of the Romantics' greatest works. She considers the resonances of myth and legend, art and earlier literature that the Romantics found in places such as North Wales and Cornwall and investigates how their writing has, in turn, shaped our visual attitudes, taste in landscape and relation to nature.

A small-town waitress and a Hollywood star's worlds collide in this new romance by Ashley Herring Blake, USA Today bestselling author of Iris Kelly Doesn't Date.
Once upon a time, Ramona Riley was a student at a prestigious art school, with dreams of landing in Hollywood as a costume designer to the stars. But after her father's car accident, she had to quit and return to her small New Hampshire town, Clover Lake, to help take care of her younger sister. Twelve years later, Ramona is still working at the town's café, all but given up on her dream. But when a big-budget romantic comedy comes to Clover Lake to film, she wonders if this could be her chance. There's only one problem -Dylan Monroe, her first kiss and Hollywood's favorite wild child - is the star.
Dylan Monroe has always lived an unconventional life, having famous rock icons for parents. But she wants to prove that she's not some chaotic, talentless nepo baby, that she has actual skills, that she's just a normal person. To do that, Dylan takes on a project at a charming lake town - she even works at the town's café (very quaint), shadowing a local waitress there (very cute), and asks her to take Dylan around to do Normal People Things.
But Dylan soon realizes it's not just some small-town waitress she's getting to know - Ramona Riley is someone she's met before, someone who remembers her even more vividly. Before long, however, reality hits them, and both women must decide if the spark between them can fan the flames of their individual dreams, or if it will extinguish their light.

Great Big Beautiful Life
The dazzling new love story and Reese Witherspoon Book Club pick from the TikTok sensation and Sunday Times bestselling author of Beach Read and Funny Story.
When Margaret Ives, the famously reclusive heiress, invites eternal optimist Alice Scott to the balmy Little Crescent Island, Alice knows this is it: her big break. And even more rare: a chance to impress her family with a Serious Publication.
The catch? Pulitzer-prize winning human thundercloud, Hayden Anderson, is sure of the same thing.
The proposal? A one-month trial period to unearth the truth behind one of the most scandalous families of the 20th Century, after which she'll choose who'll tell her story.
The problem? Margaret is only giving each of them tantalising pieces. Pieces they can't put together because of an ironclad NDA and an inconvenient yearning pulsing between them every time they're in the same room.
And it's becoming abundantly clear that their story - just like the tale Margaret's spinning - could be a mystery, tragedy, or love ballad … depending on who's telling it.
