Hranice mezi světy se s nástupem nového krsnika ztenčuje a Paul se nevyhnutelně dostává do střetu s nečistými magickými silami. Stane před úkolem prokázat, že je babiččina dědictví hoden, ochránit lidstvo a nepřijít přitom o rozum. Naštěstí brzy najde vítané čarodějné spojence a není na to sám.
