Tento literární poklad, který autorův syn Michael Dagan objevil až v roce 2023 v pozůstalosti svých rodičů patnáct let po otcově smrti, nabízí hluboký vhled do nejniternějších pocitů, úvah o sionismu i tvůrčích procesů mladého muže čelícího kruté realitě holokaustu. Publikace mj. uvádí na pravou míru historickou nepřesnost, kdy byl úryvek z Pavlova terezínského deníku v knize Motýli tady nežijí mylně připsán jeho jmenovci Petru Fischlovi, který zahynul v Osvětimi.
