Životní cestu českého novináře a politika Josefa Guttmanna (1902–1956) výrazným způsobem spoluurčovaly především jeho politické názory a původ. Coby výrazný a vlivný levicový intelektuál byl několik let v hledáčku prvorepublikové policie.
