Cesta bílým terorem je autobiografie Kang -i Sun Chang (*1944), profesorky čínské literatury na Yaleově univerzitě a světoznámé sinoložky. Zaznamenává autorčino dětství a dospívání na Tchaj-wanu během tzv. bílého teroru (1947-1987) a také její emigraci do Spojených států amerických, kam ji postupně následovala celá rodina. Jádro vyprávění leží v období deseti let mezi roky 1950-1960, kdy byl autorčin otec Paul Sun z politických důvodů ve vězení.
Kniha v sobě pojí v evropském prostředí málo známá historická fakta o raném politickém vývoji Čínské republiky na Tchaj -wanu a zároveň živý a poutavý popis životního zápasu jedné rodiny ve specifické době.
