The Cyclades
The first comprehensive illustrated book on the Cyclades archipelago, which also includes the well-known islands of Santorini, Naxos, Paros and Mykonos. The islands are currently among the trendiest travel destinations in the world. There is no Hollywood or Instagram star who has not been photographed in front of the white cities of the Greek islands.
This illustrated book attempts to capture the islands' attitude to life in an undisguised way. In doing so, the volume does not aim at the big tourist hotspots and Instagram shots that can be seen everywhere else, but would like to capture the Greek island world as a whole - with all its discrepancies. Lonely bays and half-ruined towns stand next to the glossy world of the rich and famous who spend the summer on the islands.
Highlife in summer next to almost deserted streets in winter. Greek tradition next to modern mass tourism. It is precisely these discrepancies that make the volume so distinctive.
In addition, each individual island has its own exciting peculiarities that are worth discovering. The volume also portrays in pictures and text local Greeks who pursue an exciting profession: The last fishermen of the island, the priest of a mountain church on Naxos, the last local beekeeper, etc. Rudi Sebastian has spent many weeks on the islands over several years in all seasons and has followed the soul of the country and its people.

Gregory Crewdson
Crewdson's epic photographic trilogy—a portrait of America a decade in the making
Over the past three decades, Gregory Crewdson has been fleshing out a portrait of middle America, an America gazing wide-eyed at the glimmers of a fading dream. His cinematographically staged photos have pieced together the fragments of a twilight world tinged with numbness.
This book brings together three bodies of work made between 2012 and 2022: Cathedral of the Pines (2012-14), An Eclipse of Moths (2018-19) and Eveningside (2021-22). Envisaged as a trilogy, they provide unique insight into a decade of creation and offer a comprehensive view of the universe that has positioned Crewdson as one of the major figures of contemporary photography. This trilogy is introduced by Fireflies (1996), a pivotal series for grasping the intimate undercurrents in Crewdson's work.
Gregory Crewdson (born 1962) is a graduate of SUNY Purchase and the Yale School of Art, where he is now the director of graduate studies in photography. His series Beneath the Roses is the subject of the 2012 documentary Gregory Crewdson: Brief Encounters. His work has been exhibited widely in the US and Europe. Crewdson is represented by Gagosian Gallery, New York.
I Wanna Be An Influencer (Bilingual edition)
I wanna be an Influencer is a photographic journey that maps out the new geography of places based on the choices of influencers, a social category that has become an undisputed reference point over the last decade for marketing any type of product, from clothing to cosmetics, travel and new destinations.
The author particularly reflects on one of the aspects that characterizes tourism in the time of Instagram. Destinations that are already well-known or completely unknown become sought-after, inducing a mass of aspiring influencers to adopt the same poses and behaviour because and as long as they are Instagrammable.
A kaleidoscope of images, taken behind the scenes of a real community that aims for the immediate sharing of experiences in old and new "elsewheres" and of places whose meaning has changed. Unlikely poses and daring shots are captured by the author's attentive and amused eye. The photographs are accompanied by texts by experts in the field (Beatrice Avallone, Vincenzo Nocifora, Benedetta Donato), who analyse a phenomenon of our time, which we witness daily on the social network Instagram.

Knížka Fotografie práce a zahálky se zabývá fotografickým obrazem a jeho komentářem fenoménu „práce“ v proměnách času. Vycházíme z faktu, že každá fotografie, zachycující člověka a jeho interakci ve společnosti, v sobě přirozeně nese sociální výpovědní potenciál. Skrze výběrovou selekci tvorby českých fotografů přibližujeme formy, prostor, čas, proces i produkt práce v odrazu kvality lidského života. Způsoby vzájemné reflexe práce jedince i společnosti v českém prostředí, kdy se dějiny fotografie protnuly se sociálně-pracovními dějinami člověka, ilustrativně ukážeme na profesi fotografa. Publikace je zároveň teoretickým úvodem ke stejnojmenné on-line fotografické výstavě na webových stránkách Národního muzea. Kniha obsahuje na 100 fotografií předních českých fotografů, jako je Libuše Jarcovjáková, Viktor Kolář, Karel Cudlín, Antonín Kratochvíl a další.
Česká divadelní fotografie - Vilém Sochůrek
Vilém Sochůrek (1944–1976) je významnou osobností české divadelní fotografie. Navzdory krátkosti svého života za sebou zanechal rozsáhlý soubor unikátních fotografií. Divadlu se věnoval od svých 17 let, kdy fotografoval v Divadle Rokoko. Od roku 1965 až do své smrti pracoval v Divadelním ústavu, kde vytvořil fond fotografické a scénografické dokumentace (jednalo se o více než 10 tisíc položek, a to v době před digitalizací). Vedle fotografování inscenací se věnoval dokumentaci scénografických artefaktů – především v rámci mezinárodní scénografické přehlídky Pražské Quadriennale. Mezi jeho nejvýznamnější snímky patří fotografie z inscenací Národního divadla, Činoherního klubu, Divadla Na zábradlí, Vinohradského divadla, Divadla E. F. Buriana a mnohých dalších. Sochůrek se vedle divadla věnoval úspěšně také hudbě. Publikace je doplněna portréty osobností jak z divadelního, tak hudebního prostředí (Zdeněk Štěpánek, Jiří Suchý, Ivan Vyskočil, Ctibor Turba, Marta Kubišová, Waldemar Matuška ad.). V roce 1974 na IV. Mezinárodním trienále divadelní fotografie v Novém sadu získal Vilém Sochůrek zlatou medaili.

Dvojjazyčná publikace JOSEF PTÁČEK prezentuje tvorbu výrazné osobnosti, jejíž svobodomyslnost se projevila nejen v osobním životě, ale je přítomná a zřetelná i v jeho tvorbě. Z ní vyzařuje odpor k podbízivosti a touha zachytit i to, co je pod povrchem.
The Little Book of Tom. Bikers
In 1953 Marlon Brando donned a black leather Perfecto motorcycle jacket, military cap, denim jeans, and engineer boots to portray Johnny, sneering leader of the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, in The Wild One. In 1954 Tom of Finland abandoned brown leather in his artwork to create his own wild ones: muscular, hyper-masculine, black leather-clad rebels with powerful engines between their legs. The look was adopted by the Satyrs Motorcycle Club, the first gay outlaw club, that same year, making Tom's fantasy world reality. Of course, being Tom, he soon customized his new gay icons, adding leather jodhpurs, knee high boots and leather caps, and every motorcycle bore the brand name "Tom" on the gas tank.
Tom's bikers first appeared as two "Motorcycle Boys" in Physique Pictorial, Winter 1958. Another made the cover of the April 1960 issue. Bikers dominated his PP content from then on, as a nod to its American readership as much as his growing obsession. When he sought an ongoing character, a personal avatar, in 1968, he created Kake as the ultimate biker leatherman, and elaborated on his riding adventures - of every kind - through 26-panel stories. Tom adopted Kake's gear as his own, presenting in black leather jacket, white t-shirt, jeans, and high boots to the end of his life.
The Little Book of Tom: Bikers includes Tom's earliest images for Physique Pictorial, Kake in motorcycle gear, biker panel stories, and sizzling single drawings, all packed into 192 pages of sexy, masculine men enjoying other masculine men in black leather, blue jeans, and high black boots. Blanka Lamrová (nar. 1949) pochází z umělecké rodiny keramiků z Litovle na Hané, její bratr a sestra jsou malíři a ona sama se jako profesionální fotografka celý život věnovala fotografování uměleckých děl.
V knižní formě „Obrazy ve vodě“ je stovka pečlivě zvolených fotografií vodních hladin, které fotografka pořídila od konce osmdesátých let do současnosti. Cyklus rozdělila na témata Kaluže, Řeka a Moře. V černobílých a barevných záběrech snímaných různými fotoaparáty se zrcadlí umělecké nitro autorky i vnější realita v zrcadle vod.
Vidíme zde tedy dvojí zrcadlení, jež se navzájem prolíná do výtvarně vytříbených obrazů.

The Nansen Photographs
In the late 19th century, the Norwegian Artic explorer Fridtjof Nansen undertook a pioneering expedition: he wanted to reach the North Pole with the specially designed ship Fram. The Nansen Photographs recounts this expedition, from the launch in 1890 through to the end of Nansen’s international lecture tour in 1897, using original photographs alongside personal diary entries from Nansen and seven of his crew members. Together, they illustrate in a poignant and sometimes disconcerting way how the expedition members went about their daily lives and conducted their research, the conflicts they faced, and how they ultimately brought their daring undertaking to its successful conclusion.
This book brings new life to previously known facts and introduces the reader to hundreds of previously unknown photographs from the expedition. The large format of the book brings the smaller details in the photographs to the forefront, providing new insight into the work and life on board, the equipment and the clothing.
Opposing diary entries from Nansen and the men about the same situations show that life on board was not always easy and tell a gripping story of survival and the human condition. Nansen’s lack of empathy and practical skills caused frustration among the men, and several of them resorted to fists to sort out their differences, but nonetheless they all pulled through and set a new standard for arctic expeditions to come.
When Nansen leaves the ship for his legendary 18 month journey with Hjalmar Johansen towards the North Pole, we follow both Nansen and Johansen and the crew left on board through their photographs and diaries. The return to Norway and the spectacular celebration is told in detail through photographs, newspaper reports, speeches, menus and ephemera.

Osobitá a dojemná kniha od autorky titulů Just Kids a M Train obsahuje na 365 fotografií a zamyšlení, jež dokládají jedinečnou estetiku Patti Smith. Inspirací pro vznik tohoto díla byl autorčin populární profil na Instagramu. V roce 2018 zveřejnila na této sociální síti první snímek. Pod obrázkem byla krátká zpráva: „Zdravím všechny.“ Patti Smith, která dříve fotila na polaroid, začala na Instagram přidávat fotky z mobilu, na nichž se objevují děti, topení, boty nebo její habešská kočka Cairo.
