O autorovi
Michal Repovský sa narodil 23.7.1942 v Stanči, zomrel 5.9. 2014 v Košiciach.
Zmaturoval na gymnáziu v Trebišove, študoval na Filozofickej fakulte Univerzity Komenského v Bratislave slovenský jazyk, ruský jazyk a literatúru. Pôsobil ako pedagóg a odborný prekladateľ. Ako prozaik debutoval protivojnovým románom Kone za závorou roku 2004. Pokračovanie vyšlo roku 2005 pod názvom Chlieb a láska. Pre deti napísal Leto bocianov (2009) a Hovoriace auto Bystrík (2011), vydal aj básnickú zbierku Škovrančí spev (2009). Rozsiahla kniha o dejinách Slovenska Kronika dejín Slovenska vyšla roku 2010, v ktorej predstavil dejiny Slovákov od najstarších čias s množstvom faktov a encyklopedických informácií pre širšiu čitateľskú verejnosť.

Tak jako na divadle není malých rolí, není ani při pořádání festivalu malých pomocníků, bez nichž by zkrátka Kotva nebyla tím, čím nakonec byla.
Kniha zároveň nezamlčuje, jak málo materiálů se z této kapitoly kulturní historie zachovalo a kolik práce dalo dát dohromady to, co se zachránit podařilo. Vznikla díky mnohaletému trpělivému pátrání a spolupráci s pamětníky. Nesoudí, nehodnotí, neideologizuje. Nechává čtenáři prostor udělat si vlastní obrázek. Děčínská kotva je v ní znovu vytažena zpod hladiny historie, aby získala ostřejší kontury a aby se připomněl její někdejší lesk.

Requiem v české soudobé hudbě
Requiem představuje konstantní součást duchovní hudby. Zásluhou jeho uplatnění je vnímáno spíše jako netradiční typ mše, která ovšem ke konci 20. století a v prvních desetiletích 21. století prochází velkou proměnou. Ta souvisí s určením samotného requiem. Skladatelé totiž komponují stále častěji tzv. koncertní requiem, která nejsou určena pro liturgický obřad, ale jakožto samostatná koncertní díla pro koncertní sál. S tím se samozřejmě mění nejen obsazení, ale také použité hudební výrazové prostředky.
Cílem této práce je charakteristika současného českého requiem, jeho rozdílného hudebního zpracování i místa mezi soudobými náboženskými skladbami. Vedle kulturně?historického pohledu na requiem a jeho funkci v současné hudební literatuře je hlavní (analytická) část zaměřena na čtyři konkrétní requiem českých skladatelů, kteří své dílo zkomponovali či dokončili v uplynulých třech desetiletích. Na těchto čtyřech příkladech lze jasně sledovat, jak rozdílné mohou být v soudobé hudbě kompoziční přístupy jednotlivých skladatelů.

Le Samourai
In this compelling study, Daisuke Miyao explores Jean-Pierre Melville's cult 1967 thriller Le Samourai, a film that unfolds in a coolly stylised Paris where the paths of a contract killer, Jef Costello (Alain Delon), and the police commissaire pursuing him (François Périer) fatally intersect. Despite its title, Le Samourai, is not a sword-clashing tale of feudal Japan. Rather, Miyao suggests that the film's philosophical framework draws on both existentialism and the samurai moral philosophy of bushido, or 'the way of the warrior', and considers how these philosophies may help explain Jef Costello's identity crisis and his concluding act of self-annihilation. In a close analysis of Melville's technical and aesthetic decisions, Miyao highlights the film's use of close-ups to convey or mask emotion, the play of light and shadow, and the function of flashbacks and dream sequences in the narrative, as well as the meanings of Costello's pet bullfinch. Setting Le Samourai within the shifting landscape of post-war French cinema, Miyao traces its dialogue with Hollywood film noir and Japanese art cinema, particularly Kurosawa's Rashomon (1950), suggesting that both genres informed and influenced Melville's film-making. Finally, Miyao discusses the film’s enduring legacy, from Jim Jarmusch’s Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999) to Yoko M.’s 2020 novella Jef, a prequel to the film.
