Kniha Neprakta je vydána k výročí 100 let od narození výtvarníka, ilustrátora a karikaturisty Jiřího Wintera (1924–2011), který zaujímá výrazné místo ve výtvarném umění druhé poloviny 20. století. Dosavadní publikace shrnující Nepraktova díla přinášely výhradně výběr kresleného humoru a jen okrajově se dotkly ostatní, neméně obsáhlé tvorby. Tato publikace se věnuje nejen pohledu na výtvarné dílo, ale i teoretickému zařazení „fenoménu Neprakta“ do souvislostí společenských, historických a uměleckých. Zahrnuje Winterovo dílo do kontextu doby a v několika odborných studiích popisuje vývoj české, respektive československé karikatury ve druhé polovině 20. století a přibližuje také úzkou spolupráci Wintera se všemi jeho námětáři.
Pod kolektivním pseudonymem NEPRAKTA se zpočátku skrývali dva umění milovní přátelé a sběratelé starožitností, pánové Bedřich Kopecný – námětář a Jiří Winter – výtvarník. Ženy a dobrodružství Bohumila Konečného
Výpravná obrazová monografie Bohumila Konečného (1918-1990) známého také pod přezdívkou Bimba.
Bohumil Konečný je výjimečný a znovu objevovaný malíř a ilustrátor 2. poloviny 20. století. Je mistrem dynamických dobrodružných ilustrací a maleb krásných žen ve stylu pin-up girls. Je známý jako ilustrátor knih Jaroslava Foglara a Otakara Batličky, je ale i autorem řady reklamních plakátů. Jeho kariéru velmi poznamenala aféra s komiksovou hrdinkou Amazonou - Octobrianou.
Kniha Ženy a dobrodružství Bohumila Konečného na 232 stranách přináší podrobný životopisný text o Bohumilu Konečném, obrazový průřez jeho díla - kvalitní celostránkové reprodukce díla, bibliografii a životopis.
Kniha má zcela novou grafickou podobu. Oproti 2. vydání má kniha o 16 stran více, obsahuje cca 160 zcela nových reprodukcí originálů. Výslednou grafickou podobu dal knize renomovaný knižní grafik Luboš Drtina (mj. autor grafické podoby výstavy B.Konečného ve Villa Pellé v Praze a autor grafické podoby 2. vydání této knihy). V knize je revidován úvodní životopisný text a seznam díla akcí.
V obrazové části došlo k výměně velké části otištěných originálů, je např. výrazně rozšířena kapitola Foglarovky v nakladatelství Jan Kobes, je přidána kapitola Přátelé Bohumila Konečného tak, aby byla tvorba Bohumila Konečného představena v co nejširší možné míře.
Jana Kremanová - Madame le peintre
Dílo malířky Jany Kremanové je výjimečné v mnoha ohledech, ačkoli (zatím) nevešlo ve všeobecnou známost. Jednak je to dáno jejím jednoznačným postojem během takzvané normalizace společnosti po srpnových událostech roku 1968, jež ji zcela vyloučila z tehdejšího uměleckého provozu. A jednak také motivickým a významovým zaměřením její tvorby. Kremanová je umělkyní zjitřené citlivosti a překvapivé imaginace, ve své práci dokáže přirozeně propojovat události velkého světa s osobním prožitkem a poselstvím. Nepostrádá ale ani smysl pro nadsázku, ironii a jistý druh sarkasmu, což ji sbližuje s její celoživotní inspirací – Franzem Kafkou. Jana Kremanová žije v umění, její obrazy a kresby odrážejí její duševní stav, jsou zprávou o autentickém citovém životě v dramatu života, v onom theatru mundi, jímž odkazuje na svůj niterní vztah k divadelnímu umění. Kolize, srážky a konflikty, které známe z divadla, můžeme pozorovat na jejích obrazech: postavy se navzájem odcizeny míjejí v neporozumění a tušíme, že na konci takto líčených lidských dramat nelze čekat nic jiného než katastrofu. Tvorba Jany Kremanové vychází ze spontánní opravdovosti prožitku, kdy se mohou dramatické situace proměnit v úlevné imaginativní snové obrazy.
Hokusai
The most distinguished artist of Edo-period Japan, explored like never before
At the age of six, Hokusai was said to have painted his first picture, and a year after his death aged 89, his designs for illustrated books were posthumously published. Tracing a long, prolific career, this edition spans each of the artist’s creative phases: from the actor portraits with which Hokusai started out to the 1,300 designs carried out in his final years under the name Manji.
Reproducing 746 woodblock prints, paintings, sketches, and book illustrations, many of them in granular detail, this volume is comfortably the most complete publication on perhaps Japan’s most famous artist. Hokusai’s wide appeal as the recognizable figure of Japan’s Edo period endures to this day: in March 2023, a version of his iconic woodblock print Under the Wave off Kanagawa (or The Great Wave), from his series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji, was auctioned for 2.76 million US dollars.
Looking far beyond The Great Wave, this monograph features both familiar and lesser known, rarely reprinted artworks. Entitled The (almost) complete Hokusai, it offers an unmatched variety of subjects and techniques: from a landscape of the Kirifuri Waterfall to large-format maps of the Tokaido and Kisokaido roads and the Boso Peninsula; spreads of illustrated books, from his sensual, imaginative erotica (shunga) to drawing manuals such as the fifteen-volume Hokusai manga; and several depictions of animals, from his various woodblock print series on birds and flowers to his later hanging scroll paintings of ducks amidst a flowing stream and a tiger suspended in the snow.
The result of an extensive campaign of new photography, this edition has sourced images of artworks from over 100 institutions worldwide. These include museums and collections from Europe and the United States to Japan, such as the Hiei Shrine at Kisarazu, where a surviving panel painting of a boar hunt at the foot of Mount Fuji was rephotographed for this edition.
Accompanying texts by Andreas Marks place Hokusai’s works in historical context, exploring his influence on Western artists such as Degas and Gauguin despite never leaving Japan himself. Vladimír Boudník: Zrcadlo vnitřního života
Objevte tvůrčí sílu, která stojí za průkopnickými díly Vladimíra Boudníka. Nová monografie vyšla na jaře tohoto roku ke stému výročí narození výjimečného českého umělce, zakladatele uměleckého směru, zvaného explosionalismus. Během tří měsíců se první náklad knihy vyprodal, a nyní vychází v dotisku.
Boudník představil na sklonku padesátých let a na začátku let šedesátých své vlastní originální grafické techniky. Nazval je aktivní, symetrickou a magnetickou grafikou, a ovlivnil jimi celou následující generaci umělců, jenž na Boudníkův odkaz svým způsobem navázali, nebo se vůči němu vymezili. Přes jeho inovativní postupy, které neměly obdoby u nás ani ve světě, se Boudník stal obětí své doby, která jeho snahy nechápala, ba je zesměšňovala. I proto o něm doposud kolují nejrůznější legendy a mylné domněnky, které chystaná publikace uvádí na pravou míru.
Ačkoli patří Vladimír Boudník k našim nejuznávanějším umělcům, prakticky neexistuje literatura, která by se komplexně zabývala jeho dílem. Na rozdíl od životopisné literatury a soupisu díla, která pocházejí například od Boudníkova bývalého spolupracovníka z ČKD Ladislava Merhauta, se historička umění Eva Čapková zaměřuje na Boudníkovu cestu, která jej dovedla k vynálezu nových grafických postupů.
Autorka se také podrobně věnuje jeho mírovým provoláním a Manifestům explosionalismu, které jsou jedněmi z prvních samizdatů na našem území po roce 1948.
Součástí publikace je bohatá obrazová příloha, která kromě celé řady reprodukcí Boudníkových děl z významných institucí představuje i tisky z neznámých soukromých sbírek, které dosud nebyly publikovány. Jako taková představuje kniha Boudníkovo dílo v zatím nejucelenější podobě, zprostředkovává poznání Boudníka jako umělce světové úrovně, a poukazuje na jeho místo nejen v českých dějinách umění.

Jana Farmanová patrí k výrazným osobnostiam slovenskej maľby. Študovala na Vysokej škole výtvarných umení v Bratislave v Ateliéri maľby u prof. Jána Bergera.
