Tajemství abatyše z Assisi, 4. vydání
Pouť ke svatému Jakubovi do Compostely patří k vrcholným projevům křesťanské zbožnosti.
Svébytně lyrickým ztvárněním a nadčasovým námětem vytváří jedinečný a mimořádně působivý portrét současného Lisabonu a Toulonu.

JUDr. Milan Hodža (* 1878, Sučany, Rakúsko-Uhorsko – † 1944, Clearwater, USA), slovenský politik, štátnik a publicista. Kniha približuje čitateľovi život a politické pôsobenie Milana Hodžu v novodobých slovenských dejinách.

Propaganda Girls
This is the incredible untold story of four women who helped win World War II by generating a wave of black propaganda.
Betty MacDonald was a 28-year-old reporter from Hawaii.
Zuzka Lauwers grew up in a tiny Czechoslovakian village and knew five languages by the time she was 21.
Jane Smith-Hutton was the wife of a naval attaché living in Tokyo.
Marlene Dietrich, the German-American actress and singer, was one of the biggest stars of the 20th century.
These four women, each fascinating in her own right, together contributed to one of the most covert and successful military campaigns in WWII.
Members of the Office of Strategic Services, their task was to create a secret brand of propaganda produced with the sole aim to break the morale of Axis soldiers. Working in Europe, across enemy lines in occupied China and in Washington D.C., Betty, Zuzka, Jane and Marlene forged letters and 'official' military orders, wrote and produced entire newspapers, scripted radio broadcasts and songs and even developed rumours for undercover spies and double agents to spread to the enemy. And outside of a small group of spies, no one knew they existed.
Until now.

The Steps
A gritty, inspiring, heart-wrenching memoir by the Academy Award-winning legend and icon Sylvester Stallone, about his unlikely path to stardom and the creation of the greatest underdog story ever told.
In the fifty years since Sylvester Stallone ran up the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum, he and those steps have become symbols of resilience and determination, and have inspired millions from all over the world to pursue their dreams. In The Steps, Stallone recounts how he pursued his own dreams. A culmination of decades of reflection, Sly shares where he came from - a difficult birth, an even more difficult childhood, years of struggle in school being misunderstood - and he explains how the real story of a successful life is built by facing, embracing and ultimately overcoming our challenges. It's found in the distances we are willing to go and the steps we must take to get from where we are to where we want to go.
In a narrative framed between Stallone's arrival in New York City in 1969 and the triumph of Rocky at the 1977 Academy Awards, Sly weaves a vivid and propulsive portrait of struggle, subsistence and ultimately success. He writes of his early days and later years, too, and the persistence, creativity and resilience that led not only to the creation of Rocky but to a career filled with remarkably iconic roles. The Steps is a testament to Stallone's extraordinary life and a profound meditation on the importance of vision and willpower and hard work.

To show off their union and solidify his power over Traum, Benji proposes a series of tournaments throughout the hamlets. Captive and drugged, Sybil remains determined to vanquished him as she once did the Omens, even if she destroys the kingdom's faith - and herself - in the process.
But then a mysterious knave rises to the top of the lists, a man with no name and no memory who may just be Sybil's ticket to undoing Benji's power. For in a land where stories repeat themselves, where a king can prove as cruel as a god, the only way to truly destroy the Stonewater Kingdom's faith is to save it. Praise for The Knight and the Moth:'Dreamy prose, characters so vibrant they breathe on the page, a romance that smoulders, and a spellbinding world to get lost in.

Analogue Africa : Notes on the Anti-Colonial Imagination
Too many of our convictions about the fifty-four nations of Africa come from non-African sources. Western media often treat the continent as a simulacrum of Western anxieties. In contrast, Jeremy Harding focuses on specific historical episodes and cultural practices - cinema, art, ethnography and journalism - to steer us away from treacherous generalisations.
Analogue Africa celebrates the ingenuity with which African artists - and a handful of Europeans - have reimagined the colonial encounter and voiced their impatience with white minority rule. Among his illustrious cast of filmmakers, photographers, writers and painters are Seydou Keita, Sanlé Sory, Ernest Cole, Sarah Maldoror, John Akomfrah, William Kentridge and Binyavanga Wainaina. Harding argues that Western museums with priceless African holdings - the British Museum, the Musée du Quai Branly, the Royal Museum of Central Africa in Belgium - are now the sites of a struggle over the colonial past, adding the latest chapter to an unfinished history.

Mala som zomrieť už dávno. Ale prežila som. Prežila som toľkokrát, až sa to prestalo podobať náhode. No nie všetko, čo prežiješ, ťa nechá celú. Niektoré veci v tebe zostanú dlhšie a hlbšie.
Bez varovania. Bez vysvetlenia. Zrazu som zostala obklopená len beznádejou. A práve vtedy som ho stretla.
„Celeste, aká náhoda, že mi pomáhaš práve ty…“
Zaskočená som sa spýtala: „Odkiaľ…?“
„Z budúcnosti…“ odpovedal neochvejne, skôr než som dokončila otázku.
„Vidíš?“ zašepkal. „Presne takto to robíš vždy. Zachraňuješ. A pritom netušíš, koho si práve pustila k sebe.“
