In The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes we read the last twelve stories Conan Doyle was to write about Holmes and Watson. They reflect the disillusioned world of the 1920s in which they were written, and he can be seen to take advantage of new, more open conventions in fiction. Teddy's Train is for 4-5 year olds beginning English. It provides two levels of activity books with perforated tear-out pages. The books have a very low vocabulary load and lots of songs. Teddy's Train uses the metaphor of Teddy and his train to take children to different places. A specially designed long 'train' poster is used to 'load' the new vocabulary flashcards into the wagons. This series of readers offers young people illustrated editions of well-loved tales. The language is carefully graded for individual reading, or for reading aloud. The "Beginners level" will be simpler than the "Elementary" titles, using present tense narrative and a minimal vocabulary load.

Greek and Roman warfare differed from other cultures and was unlike any other forms of warfare before and after.
