This book is amazing. Totally gripping and unique in how each word pulls you further and further into a world full of demons, angels and creative characters. Jana Oliver has brilliantly and beautifully written the continued adventure of Riley Blackthorn in a way that the readers begin to understand her situation and what she may face later in life. I love how Riley is such a strong character because we read how she is her own person and won't let anyone talk bad about her or her dad. The story itself is marvelous in how feelings between characters start to show through more and we begin to see a change in personality in some characters. However, the main plot of this book is clever and mysterious and has many twists to keep you engaged.

Bronte sisterd Complete Novels

Charlotte, Emily and Anne Bronte are three of the most remarkable novelists and poets of the nineteenth century. Charlotte was the most prolific of the three: "Jane Eyre", the story of a governess' triumph over her lowly station in life; "Shirley", set in Yorkshire at the time of the Luddite riots at the end of the Napoleonic war; and "Villette", based on her experiences as a teacher in Belgium. "The Professor", Charlotte's first novel, was published after her death. Anne Bronte was the author of "Agnes Grey" and "The Tenant of Wildfell Hall". Emily Bronte's "Wuthering Heights" portrays the sinister Heathcliff and his love for Catherine Earnshaw.

D4RK Inside

There are so many good books out there. Books that make me laugh, that make me think, that scare me, and many that I recommend to friends. It is a rare thing, in my mind, to uncover a GREAT book. A novel that makes me sit up and take note. For me, Dark Inside (by Jeyn Roberts) is one of those rare finds. It's been a long, long time - probably since I first read the Hunger Games books, that I would have run out to buy the next book had there been one. I sat around wanting to read more, hours later finding my mind back inside that world, with those characters, that fascinated and horrified me.

Women in Ancient World

From the faithful wife to the powerful queen, the untouchable priestess to the high-living prostitute, the daily lives and roles of women in the ancient world of Greece and Rome, Egypt and the Near East were fascinating and varied, often going beyond the traditional view of a woman's place. Through themes such as domestic life, religion, work, mothers and mourners, stereotypes, costume and the body, this lively book explores the traditions and trends of different cultures, using intriguing juxtapositions of images to compare and contrast the attitudes of each society. The author takes a fresh and thought-provoking look at new ways of viewing these images, pointing out the signs that reveal how a woman is to be viewed, whether as an example of perfect femininity or the object of scorn. Beautifully designed and packed with a wide range of illustrations, from public art to domestic artefacts, many specially photographed, this book reveals compelling details about the everyday lives of women in the ancient world that will delight, inform and entertain all readers, often with surprising resonances for our own time.
