Daniella Midenge, Sex & Cigarettes
Strong women, accentuated by their beauty and sensuality, are the hallmark of fashion photographer Daniella Midenge. Her pictures evoke intimacy and passion, beyond the outer shell. Black-and-white or color, her photos have an incredible power of expression that draws the eye of men and women alike. Her unique style still shows the influence of photography greats like Peter Lindbergh and Herb Ritts. But, as a woman and a model herself, Daniella Midenge is at home both behind and in front of the camera, informing her art direction, staging, and hair and makeup—all of which she does herself. It’s no wonder she is reluctant to let others handle the processing of her photographs. A creative family, her love of high-concept fashion photos in old glossy magazines, and her work as a makeup artist all contributed to the many twists and turns on Midenge’s path to photography. But after her first contact with a camera, she never looked back. For the first time, Daniella Midenge’s best work is collected in a single volume: one that will leave you wanting to see more.
DANIELLA MIDENGE was born in Stockholm in 1982. After completing her degree with a concentration in photography, film, and advertising at the Riddarfjärdsskolan, she worked in a studio for the restoration of oil paintings before starting a new career as a makeup artist. Because of her contact with fashion photography, Daniella Midenge quickly developed a strong interest in the artistic and conceptual creation of photoshoots—with great success: her first cover for Marie Claire followed in 2010. She was soon able to add other illustrious magazines to her portfolio including Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, and GQ. Her customer base is still expanding as major companies like H&M, Guess and Swarovski now have her do their fashion campaigns. In addition, she is also a successful model herself; she was on the cover of Elle and in Playboy. After a few years in Berlin, Daniella now lives in Los Angeles.

Ultimate Toys for Men
From the Italian luxury sports car to the Swiss chronograph—the ultimate collection of the best, most exclusive, and most luxurious toys for men
With a special section on bespoke production
An opulent photo book that opens up a world full of luxury, pleasure, and aesthetic beauty to the reader
The perfect gift for all boys who have grown up,but preserved their inner child
There are only two notable differences between toys for little boys and toys for grown-up boys: the toys get bigger with age—and more expensive. Matchbox cars give way to high-end sports cars, model boats become motorboats and sailing yachts, and the plastic wristwatch turns into a Swiss chronograph with a perpetual calendar and minute repeater. The Toys for Men series has always stayed abreast of this male drive to play; in the latest volume, we present the ultimate wish list, a selection of the most exclusive, most innovative, and most luxurious toys that men with money can buy. Of course, the list includes the classic male fantasies of Lear jets, mega-
yachts, and super sports cars—the truly giant and great things that move men in the air, on water, or on land. But it also includes the little gadgets—from headphones and wristwatches to SLR cameras—that make tech-loving men’s hearts beat a little faster. We also include the vices that speak to connoisseurs, like that special bottle of French wine, Scottish whiskey, or Cuban cigars. And last but not least, we include one of the greatest luxuries of all: having a product tailored to you and you alone,
bespoke-style. But we’re not just talking about custom-
tailored suits. Cars, golf clubs, skis, nearly everything
today can be customized to suit your particular tastes. If you’re searching for the ultimate toys for the gentleman who has everything, you’ll hit pay dirt here. Because as philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche already knew, “There is a child hidden in every man: and it wants to play.”

Lacná kniha Living in Style - How We Live (-90%)
Private encounters in Exceptional Environments! The strange artwork that hangs above the bed, the well-sorted sneaker collection: artifacts, the stuff of life-insanely expensive or sentimental mementos-from around the world. These are the things that spark the imagination, that make you want to change things in your own home. And they reveal an awful lot about the character, dreams, and souls of these lucky few. The authors and photographers from Welt am Sonntag visited these top creative minds, artists and style icons in their homes. Among them are a daughter of Danish architect and designer Verner Panton, the son of the legendary Piero Fornasetti, Picasso biographer John Richardson, Axel Vervoordt, the master of sparse opulence, an attorney who is also a passionate collector, a Frenchman who reigns over a hair-care empire in New York, and Berlin's most controversial architect. The results are far from highly polished photo productions in which each bouquet of flowers is carefully arranged, each coffee table book straightened at a right angle with the homeowners hiding behind perfect tastes. Here you'll find our rather intimate encounters that offer glimpses into unmapped territories. Private, curious, and-fortunately-a little eccentric. We would like to thank these people for inviting us into their homes. At the same time, we would like to encourage our readers to take this book as a halfway-serious encouragement for shaping your own lives. A portrait of Mick Jagger by Andy Warhol over the mantel, a vase you have made yourself or a thoroughly impractical gigantic sculpture in the dining room make life simply better. In other words, stop listening to the TV and try this at home! Style experts and co-authors, Adriano Sack and Dagmar von Taube, have compiled the most beautiful home stories published in Welt am Sonntag into a fascinating photo volume that is a wonderful source of ideas for your own home.

Insecta
For every one human on earth, there are two million insects, co-existing with us in daily life, largely unseen and unappreciated. Often deemed a nuisance when we do come across them, these tiny creatures are an indispensable life force, vital to the ecosystem and basic functioning of planet Earth. Equal parts discovery and entertainment, INSECTA presents a spectacular array of super high-resolution, `hyper-real' color photographs of bugs and insects, magnified by 500% or more. As a graphic and educational counterpart, each insect name is translated into five main languages (German, Italian, English, French, and Spanish) and paired with sculptural, jewel-like close-up images of the bugs in this visually-arresting, large-format photography book. Dazzling photographs show the intricate anatomy, vivid coloration, and complex patterns of a variety of bug species whose widely-differing details, are not visible to the naked eye. Some of the insect species will be instantly recognizable, others are so rare and exotic, that many readers have possibly never seen before! In addition, fun and informative scientific text accompanies each bug type to remind us of the ever-fascinating masterful design and machinery inherent to the natural world.

The Porsche 911 Book
The introduction of the Porsche 901 in 1963 marked a milestone in automotive history. Although the name later had to be changed because Peugeot had patented having a 0 in the middle of car model numbers, the 911 didn't let anything stand in the way of its becoming an iconic sports car. This success story spans all the way from the 901 and the Carrera RS 2.7 (which with its characteristic rear spoiler-the so-called "ducktail"-was the fastest production car of its time) right up to the current generation of the 991. The famous automotive photographer Rene Staud, whose The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Book has also been published by teNeues, showcases the most important models-all in his typically radiant and distinctive style.

Bernhard Hartmann, New York
New York is probably the most photographed city in the world. It is hard to resist the fascination for the Big Apple, and many have tried to visually capture the singularly unique "Empire State of Mind." It's not just the classic landmarks that belong to an emotional portrait of the metropolis, but also the bustling life in the urban canyons of Manhattan and its neighborhoods. And this is why Bernhard Hartmann never approaches New York City from just one perspective. He employs multiple angles: brilliant studies that make the sculptural details of architectural icons, both old and new, come alive, alongside snapshots of ephemeral, shadowy pedestrians hurrying by on rain-soaked asphalt illuminated by neon sign reflections. Hartmann is especially taken with the city's lights, as his black-and-white photos twinkle in an almost magical way. His colour photographs possess a near hypnotic quality that make the nighttime neon-lit streets feel like an homage to decades past, and his aerial photos almost tangibly pull you into the scene. Despite the technical refinement and exquisite detail of Hartmann's photos, their unequalled atmospheric intensity is what truly makes them special: he combines the latest photographic techniques with the glamour of historic pictures. The result is a dazzling, contemporary portrait of the most amazing city in the world, one that-like your own first visit to New York-you will never forget.

Mallorca, Michael Poliza
A perceptive and very personal portrait of Mallorca—Michael Poliza’s unique photographs and thoughtful selection of motifs makes this so much more than a conventional travel guide
The island’s stunning variety of landscapes are captured in a single photo book
Wherever you live, no matter the season, Poliza’s photos will make you long for sunshine and the sea
A fresh and unexpected view of the island
Rich with promise: one of teNeues’s most successful and revered artists uncovers an inimitable tourist destination for international travelers. Nature photographer Michael Poliza has already published nearly a dozen books—including bestsellers like Africa, Eyes Over Africa, and AntArctic—and as an organizer of high-end nature adventure treks, he has a particularly keen sense for unique locations. For his latest tome, he focused on a place of legendary beauty that brims unexpected surprises: Mallorca. It’s no wonder that Mallorca has certain qualities in common with tapas, the island’s culinary specialty. The great thing about tapas is that you don’t have to make a meal out of just one ingredient; you can taste a bit of this and have a nibble of that and enjoy a broad spectrum of flavors. And that is the perfect way to describe the vacation mecca of Mallorca, which boasts an attractive mix of old and modern architecture, lively beaches and secluded bays, and the vibrant city of Palma and quaint mountain villages. On the ground or from the air, Michael Poliza paints an intimate picture of Mallorca and its most exciting locales—the salt mounds of Es Trenc, Cala sa Nau, the Cap de Formentor lighthouse, and the serpentine road to Sa Calobra—and fulfills his promise magnificently.
MICHAEL POLIZA is a man who is used to reinventing himself: he went from actor to entrepreneur to professional photographer to expedition leader to travel designer and head of the companies Michael Poliza Experiences and Michael Poliza Private Travel. He has received many awards for his photographs, including a 2008 International Photography Award. His book Eyes over Africa won the German Photo Book Prize. His most recent book, The World’s Most Magical Wilderness Escapes, was published by teNeues in 2015.
