Mnichov - zářící metropole umění 1870-1918 / München


Mnichov byl v době kolem roku 1900 živou kulturní metropolí přitažlivou pro umělce z celého světa. Mnichovská Akademie umění si postupně vybudovala pověst nejprestižnějšího uměleckého učiliště ve střední Evropě. V Mnichově bylo roku 1892 založeno první středoevropské secesionistické sdružení a v roce 1911 proslulá avantgardistická skupina Der Blaue Reiter (Modrý jezdec).
