Co by se stalo, kdyby se pohádky změnily ve skutečnost? Kdyby se pohádkové postavy objevily v současném světě a spolu s nimi i jejich magie?
Tuhle otázku si musí položit i Raina Whiteová, moderní mladá dívka, která vede docela obyčejný život, chodí do školy a má kamarády, s kterými podniká zakázaná dobrodružství za zády své přísné babičky. To, že je následnice jedné z nejvýznamnějších pohádkových postav, Sněhurky, a tím i příslušnice jednoho z mála zbývajících šlechtických rodů, považuje spíš za přítěž.
Rozhodně se odmítá podřídit dávné tradici, podle níž musí každá dívka z pohádkové rodiny v den svých osmnáctých narozenin políbit zakletého spícího prince, a proroctví, podle kterého se s princovým probuzením vrátí do světa magie a potomci pohádkových rodů získají zpět svou moc, považuje za nesmysl a hloupé pověry. Nakonec je však násilím donucena se tradici podřídit a prince políbit. A tím rozpoutá, ač proti své vůli, sled bizarních událostí, které její život a všechno, co doposud znala, obrátí vzhůru nohama.

Z deníků Robokata 7: Fatální kolaps
Oblíbený Robokat je zpět.
Po událostech Střetu myslí vysílá nechvalně proslulá korporace Barish-Estranza na nově kolonizovanou planetu ohroženou neznámou kontaminací záchranné lodě a také svoje bezpečnostní jednotky. Jde jí ale skutečně o záchranu nebohých kolonistů potýkajících se s touto zvláštní mimozemskou nákazou, nebo v nich spíš vidí levnou pracovní sílu pro svoje vlastní podniky?
Ani tentokrát nemůže Robokat zůstat stranou a nechat lidi, ať si svoje záležitosti vyřeší sami mezi sebou, byť by se nejraději stáhl do ústraní a v poklidu trávil nekonečné hodiny sledováním seriálů.
Jenže cítí, že s ním je něco v nepořádku: nefunguje v normálních provozních parametrech. ARTova posádka a lidé ze Skupiny pro ochranu prostředí dělají, co mohou, aby kolonisty zachránili, ale v nerovném boji s Barish-Estranzou a jejími jednotkami budou muset doufat, že Robokat přijde na to, co se s ním děje, a to co nejrychleji.

Zlatá klec 4: Zářivá
Stejně jako fénix, kterého zachvátil oheň, budu muset povstat z popela. Přistřihli mi křídla, ale už nejsem v kleci a konečně mohu svobodně vzlétnout ze zamrzlých království. Přesto mi to svět nechce dovolit. Tak to dopadá, když se obrátíte proti králi. Ještěže mám na své straně jiného krále. Ale i přes hrozbu, kterou Slade Ravinger představuje, si pro mě ostatní monarchové přijdou. Možná budeme muset zabíjet. Možná se z nás stanou padouši. Je mi to ale jedno – protože dokud budu žít, už mě nikdo nevyužije.

Praha City je šťastné město. Deset milionů obyvatel zde přežívá díky výdobytkům moderních technologií, zatímco zbytek Evropy se propadl do chaosu. Nikdo nepochybuje, že je to pravda, tvrdí to přece City News! Jenže Petr Vachten ty sračky ignoruje. Svět, který Kotleta vykreslil, by se totiž až velmi snadno mohl v ne tak vzdálené budoucnosti stát realitou. A to, že v něm i přes vší pochmurnost a krvavost nakonec zvítězí dobro, je dobrá zpráva. František Kotleta se v rozhovorech může tvářit jako ten největší prasák pod sluncem, ale jádrem jeho knih bývá cesta ze tmy ke světlu. A Underground není výjimkou, spíše naopak. Jiří Göth, idnes.cz
