"A hagyományos szépség szobrásza volt" - írta róla Ybl Ervin 1941-ben. Sokrétű és termékeny életműve megérdemli a figyelmet. A művész hagyatékát a történelem vihara alaposan megtépázta, de a szerző több éves kutatómunkája eredményeként sikerült rekonstruálni a pályafutás legfontosabb állomásait. A könyvet számos archív fénykép illusztrálja, kiegészítve a jelenleg meglévő legfontosabb műalkotások színes fotóival.
