Palác Elektrických podniků v běhu času
Palác Elektrických podniků patří mezi největší a nejvýznamnější památky meziválečné funkcionalistické architektury na území dnešní ČR. Velkorysý objekt podle návrhu architektů Adolfa Benše a Josefa Kříže byl dokončen v roce 1935 a svého času platil za největší administrativní budovu i za ukázku moderních stavitelských postupů a technologií.
Kniha není jen výpravnou monografií představující architekturu a typologii tohoto výjimečného objektu. Zabývá se současně společenským a kulturním kontextem doby jeho vzniku, a to zejména na pozadí nové stavební formy – městského paláce a rozvíjející se metropole. Z velké části mapuje i rozsáhlou přestavbu spojenou s částečnou konverzí, kterou lze s jistotou označit za jednu z největších a technicky nejnáročnějších rekonstrukcí památkově chráněného objektu na území Prahy. Monografie se věnuje otci a synovi - Kryštofovi a Kiliánu Ignáci Dientzenhoferovým.
