Klauzury FAMU 2014
Třetí ročník sborníku textů ke klauzurním pracím, které vznikají na Filmové a televizní fakultě AMU, opět přináší důležitou reflexi studentské tvorby v této filmové škole. Pozvání na klauzury přijalo devět hostů, kteří je reflektovali ve svých textech – Antonín Tesař (zároveň editor publikace), Jan Kolář, Přemysl Martínek, Matěj Metelec, Kamila Boháčková, Eliška Děcká, Tereza Hadravová, Alexandr Jančík a Kateřina Svatoňová. Hosté se zamýšleli především nad tím, jaká témata začínající čeští filmaři sledují, jaké stylistické postupy jsou jim blízké a v čem se jejich tvorba liší od „profesionální“ domácí kinematografie. Kniha je ale také sbírkou úvah o obecnějších otázkách týkajících se filmu a audiovizuálního umění obecně. Oslovení autoři se totiž zabývají kinematografií v obecnější perspektivě, a tak jejich zájem o studentskou tvorbu má vždy širší přesah.

Staré pověsti české
Ve spolupráci s Plzní - Evropským městem kultury 2015 Národní filmový archiv digitálně restauroval jedno z klíčových děl plzeňského rodáka, velikána loutkové animace, Jiřího Trnky - film Staré pověsti české (1953).
Práce na restaurování provázel obsáhlý výzkum historických okolností vzniku filmu, z nějž vzešla také publikace, věnovaná různým aspektům snímku. V šesti původních studiích se věnujeme podrobné analýze produkce filmu a jeho roli v tzv. jiráskovské akci, zhodnocujeme pozici Jiřího Trnky jako svébytného tvůrce ve strukturách znárodněné kinematografie, zabýváme se stylem a vyprávěním filmu, specifiky Trnkových loutek a jeho spoluprací s hudebním skladatelem Václavem Trojanem. Krom rozhovorů je kniha doplněna též edicí archivních materiálů a disponuje bohatým obrazovým doprovodem.

Ve druhé části knihy se autor tentokrát ponoří do rodinných alb a soukromí hereckých idolů, a to díky ratolestem slavných. Marie Hakenová zavzpomíná na manželství svých rodičů Marie Glázrové a Eduarda Hakena, Jana Štěpánková prozradí, jaké tresty užíval její otec Zdeněk, a Svatopluk Beneš mladší vylíčí, co bylo největší zálibou jeho tatínka.Zvláštní oddíl je věnován korespondenci Adiny Mandlové a Ferdinanda Peroutky z konce 70. let minulého století. Několik málo dopisů uložených ve sbírkách českých exulantů, konkrétně v Peroutka Papers v Hoover Institutu v Kalifornii, nastíní život Adiny Mandlové poté, co se uchýlila do ústranní v cizí zemi a žila bez kontaktu s českou kulturou a jazykem, a také závěrečné týdny života Ferdinanda Peroutky v americkém exilu.
Film a kultúrna pamäť
Hlavná téma 15. ročníka česko-slovenskej filmologickej konferencie, ktorá sa uskutočnila v októbri 2013, vyplynula z pripomínania vzniku dvoch kľúčových pamäťových/archívnych inštitúcií z hľadiska dejín našich národných kinematografií – 70. výročia založenia NFA v Prahe a 50. výročia vzniku SFÚ v Bratislave. Okrem toho sme si v roku 2013na Slovensku pripomínali aj 20. výročie vzniku ASFK, hlavného organizátora filmologických konferencií. Program konferencie určovali vybrané tematické okruhy: 1) film ako médium kultúrnej pamäti – reprezentácie pamäti a histórie vo filme, kultúrna pamäť v druhoch a žánroch filmu, reflexivita a pamäť filmu, 2) médiá a kultúrna pamäť – mediácia pamäti: spomienky uchovávané a tvarované médiami, podiel médií na tvorbe a cirkulácii kultúrnych spomienok, 3) filmový archív ako inštitúcia kultúrnej pamäti – archívne horúčky: impulz fascinácie, recyklácia, apropriácia – stratégie hľadania a používania archívneho filmového materiálu, a pod. Osobitný panel Mnohosť kultúr v kontexte audiovizuálnych štúdií pripravil Ústav divadelnej a filmovej vedy SAV a zameral sa na využiteľnosť kultúrnych štúdií s dôrazom na teórie multikulturality, transkulturality a interkulturality v kontexte štúdií filmovej/audiovizuálnej kultúry.
