Azóta is élek
A megannyi műfajban és műnemben alkotó Bereményi Géza 1970-ben A svéd király című novelláskötetével kezdte irodalmi pályáját. Megjelenésekor a mindössze 24 éves szerző kötetbeli alteregójához, Dobrovicshoz hasonlóan az „induló tehetségek közé tartozott”, már első írásaiban is megjelentek későbbi nagy témái, az ős- és hőskeresés, a Teleki tér és nagyszülei legendáriuma. Alkotói figyelme később a dalszövegek, a színház és a film felé fordult, miközben továbbra is fontos műfaja és eszköze maradt a novellisztika, több későbbi filmjének (Eldorádó, Hóesés a Vízivárosban) az ősváltozata eredetileg elbeszélés volt. A korábban megjelent könyvekből maga a szerző válogatta a mostani kötet anyagát, helyenként új címeket adott a novelláknak. Az olvasó pedig eredendő mozgásában, eleven hullámzásában érzékelheti és láthatja a Bereményi-mitológia alakulástörténetét, bizonyos motívumok és figurák megszületését és tovább-formálódását, a kiválás és az elvegyülés gesztusait, az otthonvesztés és a hazatalálás következményeit. 2021-ben a Magvető Kiadó ezzel a kötettel köszönti a 75 éves Bereményi Gézát.
