Sny, které má nablízku, však těsně před Vánocemi 2016 přetrhne brutální napadení a vážně poranění skvělé levé ruky, Petřina zlatého nástroje. Zprvu není vůbec jisté, zda ještě bude moci hrát vrcholový tenis. Petra se však, pomalu zázračně, dokáže rychle zotavit a vrátit a už v červnu 2017 slaví v Birminghamu svůj dvacátý titul, na okruhu pak přidává dalších šest a také finále na grandslamu v Melbourne 2019. Petra je opět mezi nejlepšími pěti hráčkami světa a chce útočit dál a výš.
„Spíš než na zázraky věřím sama v sebe,“ řekla po návratu.
Petra je rovněž vynikající týmovou hráčkou. Má velkou zásluhu na skutečnosti, že se Češky během osmi staly šestkrát šampionkami Fed Cupu. Nejprve v roce 2011 po vítězném finále nad Ruskami a 2012 nad Srbskem, následně třikrát v řadě 2014 až 2016, kdy zdolaly silnou Francii, a naposledy v 2018, když porazily Spojené státy. Je nepochybné, že s Petrou a Karolínou Plíškovou máme nejlepší ženský tenisový tým na světě!
Knížka není jen portrétem mladé sportovní hvězdy a obrazem její mimořádné cesty, ale také reálným a těžce vydřeným hollywoodským snem narozeným v Česku a pak na všech významných tenisových kolbištích světa.
