Profesor Arnold Jirásek (1887–1960) vstoupil do širšího povědomí jako lékař, který operoval smrtelně zraněného Jana Opletala, byl však především zakladatelskou osobností naší neurochirurgie a jednou z nejvýraznějších postav české medicíny první poloviny 20. století.
