Churchills Killing House
In the summer of 1940, Britain was under siege. Poland, Belgium, Holland, Norway and France had already fallen, and the British army had been routed on the continent, leading to the chaotic evacuation at Dunkirk.
In the rubble of the Allie's crumbled defence, Inverailort House was established as a new symbol of defiance. Signed off by Churchill himself, this austere building became an academy for the brightest and best of all Allied volunteers, where they were transformed from ordinary foot soldiers into a new breed of warrior - the commando. Stíhací eso luftwaffe
Samotný Norbert Hannig skromně připouští, že byl frontovým letcem neboli operačním pilotem, který během druhé světové války nedělal nic zvláštního. Byl jen, jak sám říká, jedním z mnoha řadových pilotů, kteří bojovali za svou vlast a ne za Führera. Ale jeho válečná kariéra je fascinujícím a vysoce informativním čtením zejména o tažení proti Sovětskému svazu. Patřil ke střední generaci stíhacích pilotů luftwaffe a počátkem roku 1943 začal operačně létat v 54. stíhací skupině na východní frontě (Leningrad). Nejprve to bylo s Messerschmittem Bf 109 a pak se přeškolil na Focke-Wulf 190. Sloužil také ve speciální operační jednotce JV 44, které velel Adolf Galland. Po roce bojového nasazení na východní frontě se vrátil do Německa jako letecký instruktor. Brzy ho přeložili zase do Ruska a v roce 1945 se stal velitelem letky. V závěrečných fázích války létal také s prvním proudovým letounem na světě, Me-262. Válku skončil se 42 sestřely z více než 200 misí. Během posledních chaotických měsíců války zajali Norberta Spojenci.

Páncélosok a Felvidéken
2008-ig a második világháború 1944-1945. évi magyarországi harcainak volt egy olyan eseménysora, amelyet a hadtörténetírás addig nem dolgozott fel kellő alapossággal. A Felvidék azon része, amely 1938 és 1945 között újra Magyarország határain belülre került, 1945 és 1989 között rendszerint kimaradt a magyarországi hadműveletek tárgyalásakor. A magyar szakemberek a területet az 1945 utáni helyzetből kiindulva Csehszlovákia részének tekintették, és miután az arcvonal átlépte az 1938 előtti magyar határt, a tolluk legtöbbször megtorpant.
A kötet szerkezete az előző kiadáshoz képest lényegében nem változott, ám a korábbi kézirat bővítése során olyan mennyiségű új adatot sikerült feltárni, hogy ezek közreadásával lényegében egy új könyv született, messze meghaladva az eredeti terjedelmet.
