Trianon és a magyar felsőoktatás I.
A VERITAS Történetkutató Intézet Trianon hatása a magyar felsőoktatásra címmel 2017 őszén indított kutatási projektet, amelyet 2020-ig, a trianoni oktrojált békeszerződés, illetve a numerus clausus törvény elfogadásának 100. évfordulójáig kíván folytatni arról, mennyiben változtatták meg a magyar felsőoktatást az 1918 és 1920 közötti területi elcsatolások, miként hatottak ezek a két világháború közötti felsőoktatás-politikára, az oktatói gárda és a hallgatóság összetételére, egyesületi életére, politikai aktivitására.
Jelen kötet az első, e tárgyban 2017. december 4-én a budapesti Eötvös Collegiumban, a VERITAS Intézet és a Magyar Felsőoktatási Levéltári Szövetség együttműködésében rendezett konferencia előadásainak szerkesztett anyagát tartalmazza.

Volt egyszer egy Pozsonyi Hajósegylet (1862-1940)
A Pozsonyi Hajósegyletet az angol sportegyesületek mintájára alapították 1862-ben, ligetfalui székhelyét pedig 1895-ben adták át. Sajnos, a Szlovák nemzeti felkelés hídja építésekor ez a klubház is a városrombolás áldozata lett. Az egylet történetét az Aixinger család három generációja dolgozta fel és adta ki 1941-ben. Publikace dokumentuje vzájemné vztahy mezi dvěma významnými osobnostmi ženské kultury dvacátých a třicátých let 20. století, textilní výtvarnicí Boženou Rothmayerovou rozenou Hornekovou a dcerou prezidenta republiky Alicí Masarykovou. Vztahy mezi oběma dámami vyvrcholily v období mezi lety 1926 až 1939, kdy Alice Masaryková umožnila Rothmayerové Hornekové podílet se na dotváření interiérů Hradu a dalších prezidentských sídel textilními prvky. Rothmayerová Horneková prováděla návrhy ubrusů a prostírání, ozdobných přikrývek, koberců a dalšího textilu včetně šatníku samotné Alice Masarykové.
Publikace historičky umění Marie Szadkowské zpracovává ojedinělý soubor archivních dokumentů především dosud nezveřejněné korespondence, poznámek, kreseb a skic a také samotných příkladů textilní tvorby zmíněné textilní výtvarnice. Mimo text autorky publikace obsahuje přepisy více než padesáti dopisů, bohatou obrazovou dokumentaci a příspěvek kurátorky Markéty Vinglerové, dokumentující sbírku Boženy Rothmayerové Hornekové Uměleckoprůmyslového musea v Praze.
Publikace rozvíjí téma stejnojmenné výstavy prezentované od 1. 11. 2018 do 29. 9. 2019 ve výstavním prostoru Studijního a dokumentačního centra Norbertov Muzea hlavního města Prahy.

Veľké slovanské dobytie sveta
Napadlo vám niekedy, že svetové dejiny v skutočnosti mohli byť celkom iné, ako sa to učíme v škole? Keď začneme dôkladne študovať históriu, nadobudneme dojem, akoby história bola akási pretrhnutá. Mnohí vedci tvrdia, že došlo k veľkej globálnej katastrofe, ktorá dejiny celkom zmenila. Existuje mnoho dôkazov, a to nielen geologických, archeologických, aleaj v kalendároch chýbajú celé stáročia. Háborúból békébe - a magyar társadalom 1918 után
Az első világháború, az összeomlás és Trianon új, sokszor drámai kihívások elé állította a magyar társadalmat és gazdaságot. Emberveszteség a frontokon, visszaeső születésszám, spanyolnáthajárvány, élelmiszerés szénhiány, lakásínség, belső társadalmi erőszakhullám, az új határok révén teljesen átalakuló gazdasági adottságok és külgazdasági környezet, a pénz elértéktelenedése és a költségvetési források hiánya, a nőknek a háború nyomán megváltozott helyzete, a média szerepe a gyors politikai fordulatok idején. Megannyi kihívás, amelyrea társadalmi és gazdasági szereplőknek, a politikának választ kellett találnia. E problémák kezelése szükségszerűen belső konfliktusokat idézett elő, és eltartott egy ideig, amíg a háború és Trianon keltette hullámok elcsitultak. A gyorsan zajló eseményekhez, konfliktusokhozazonban sok esetben hosszabb távú következmények is kapcsolódtak. Kötetünk tanulmányai az első világháború demográfiai hatásait vizsgálják, körbejárják azt a kérdést, hogy vajon Trianon mennyire törte meg valójában a magyar gazdaság fejlődését, hogy az állam miként tudta finanszírozni magát ezekben az években, feltárják az élelmiszer-termelők és -fogyasztók kiéleződő szembenállását, a szénellátás, a lakáspiac szabályozásának rendszerét és konfliktusait a kötött gazdálkodás viszonyai között, vizsgálják a háború végi vidéki erőszakhullám eseményeit, a női munkavállalás új jelenségeit, és elemzik a média változásait a politikai földcsuszamlások közepette. Az összeomlás révén kiszolgáltatottá vált ország gazdasági és társadalmi konfliktusainak megértése reményeink szerint hozzájárul a trianoni évek árnyaltabb megismeréséhez és a hosszú távú következmények felméréséhez.
