A Magyar Nemzet története 1938-2018
A 2018 tavaszán megjelenését beszüntető Magyar Nemzet az elmúlt nyolcvan év hazai napilappiacán páratlan kuriózum.
Sőt, a lap jóval több, mint egy napilap. A magyar és a világtörténelem egyik fordulópontján, közvetlenül a második világháború kitörése előtt, 1938-ban indult útjára, és azóta, függetlenül a politikai és társadalmi berendezkedés radikális változásaitól mindig központi szerepben volt, mélyen tükrözve és egyben alakítva is az eseményeket - pedig közben volt egy Rákosi- és egy Kádár-rendszer is. A szinte azonnal kialakult legendájához, az általa betöltött szerephez éppúgy ragaszkodtak a hatalom mindenkori birtokosai, mint a lapot tartalommal megtöltők. A lap története egyben izgalmas mélyfúrás az elmúlt nyolcvan év magyar történelmébe és szellemi folyamataiba.
Alapítója, Pethő Sándor a Times, a Neue Zürcher Zeitung tapasztalatait felhasználó első magyar világlapnak gondolta el. Olyan újságnak, amely a hazai politikai eseményeket a külpolitika eseményeibe ágyazva elemzi, értelmezi. A születő, konzervatív-liberális, keresztény szellemiségű, a nemzeti kérdésekkel kiemelten foglalkozó lap terjedelmes külpolitikai rovattal rendelkezett.
A hazai világlapról szőtt elképzeléseket a második világháború kitörése keresztülhúzta. Néhány éven belül viszont a Magyar Nemzet vált az ország legnagyobb hatású náciellenes orgánumává.
Az 1944-es betiltás után egy esztendővel újjászülető lap, amíg tehette - 1948 tavaszáig - ugyanolyan határozottan lépett fel a kommunista egyeduralmi törekvésekkel szemben. A későbbiekben is a pártsajtóhoz képest meglévő mássága, a letűnt polgári világot idéző stílusa, hangvétele emelte ki a szocializmus médiavilágából, tette érdekessé olvasói előtt.
A Magyar Nemzet fennállásának nyolc évtizede alatt nagy részt olyan körülmények között volt kénytelen működni, amikor az országban vagy korlátozták a sajtószabadságot vagy egyáltalán nem - legfeljebb a kiskapukat megtalálva - lehetett a hivatalostól eltérő nézeteket hangoztatni. Az újság a kiskapukat kihasználva, felélesztve háború alatt az olvasók tájékoztatására rendszeresen használt "becsempészett őszinte mellékmondatok" hagyományát szólalt meg - amikor megtehette a szocialista rendszer idején is.
A kilencvenes évektől - éppen mert mindenki magáénak érezte és akarta a patinás márkanevet - a lapra megpróbáltatásokkal teli korszak várt. A Magyar Nemzet a Napi Magyarországgal való 2000-es egyesítés nyomán megerősödött, ám idővel egyre inkább elköteleződött egyetlen politikai erő irányába. A 2015-ös fordulatot követően függetlenségének helyreállításával sikerült korábbi tekintélyét visszaszereznie. A szellemében az alapítók céljaihoz visszatért Magyar Nemzetet két nappal a 2018-a választás után zárta be tulajdonosa, aki azóta el is adta médiumait. A Magyar Nemzet folytatásaként a lap korábbi újságírói idén májusban létrehozták a Magyar Hangot.

Nem hoz a könyv semmi újat. Nem is ez a szándék, hisz a tárgy a "minél régibb, annál jobb" alapján választódik ki...Nagy elődök eredményeit sűrítem "gondozásom" során TORMA ZSÓFIA több ezer "rovásbetűjéből CSALLÁNY DEZSŐ "ligatúrájáig"ahol az írástörténet, a betűformálás művészete az ékírástól a rovásírásig fejlődik az emberi gondolát hordozója a puha anyagba nyomott, kemény sziklára vésett, vékony pálcákra rótt betű.
Tervem eredetileg csupán egyetlen kötet gondozása volt. Azt hittem, hogy egy ilyen keretbe beletömöríthetem a hosszú évek alatt összegyűjtött anyagot. Amint azonban híre ment szándékomnak, egyre-másra jelentkeztek a sokszor ismeretlen munkatársak, csatlakozva a régiekhez számomra eddig elérhetetlen adatokkal, gyűjtésekkel.

A Kárpátok-övezte Duna medence tökéletes földrajzi és gazdasági egység. Ilyet az Úristen csak keveset teremtett ezen a földön. Minden erővonala és összetevője központkeresően fut össze a Nagy Magyar Alföldön és parancsolóan megköveteli az egységes, központi politikai hatalmat. Csak egységes politikai hatalom, mely a medence központjában székel, teljesítheti ki a földrajzi és gazdasági egység minden erejét.

Minden hatalom, lett légyen az még oly erős is, amely kívülről akarta a medencét birtokolni vagy idebenn annak csak egyes részeit töltötte ki, előbb vagy utóbb tönkrement és megbukott. Csak néptöredékek maradtak vissza mozaikszerűen egymás mellett a medencében.

K čemu tak velká slova?
Rytířské ságy patří mezi méně známé žánry staroseverské literatury. Tento termín je už od středověku souhrnným označením pro staroseverské verze několika skupin literárních textů, které původně vznikaly ve Francii.
Kniha představuje oba hlavní typy těchto riddarasogur: primární, tj. adaptované překlady francouzských předloh, i vlastní volnější skandinávské zpracování na jejich motivy, tzv. sekundární ságy.
České publikum tak poprvé dostává příležitost seznámit se nejen s vážně míněnými texty určenými pro norský královský dvůr, se ságami o rytířích krále Artuše či Karla Velikého, ale také s pozdějšími islandskými ságami, vyznačujícími se větší dávkou ironie a vlastním pojetím dvornosti. Pro překlad byly vybrány čtyři texty rytířské epiky z Norska a Islandu ze 13. a 14. století: Sága o Erexovi, Artušovu rytíři, oddíl "O runzivalské bitvě" ze Ságy o Karlu Velikém, Sága o Tristramovi a Ísoddě a Sága o Krásném Baringovi.
Můžeme tak sledovat pomyslnou cestu severské epiky od berserků - válečníků severského boha Ódina - ke dvorným rytířům a zpět.
Svazek otevírá novou ediční řadu Filozofické fakulty Univerzity Karlovy s názvem Medium, která zpřístupňuje českým čtenářům široké rozpětí středověkých textů v kvalitních překladech.

Kniha navazuje na úspěšný mnohadílný cyklus Polní pošta vysílaný na stanici Vltava.

Heltai Gáspár a Szeben megyei Heltauban (Nagydisznód) szász család gyermekeként született.
1543-ban Wittenbergben tanult, és a következő évtől kezdve evangélikus lelkészként tevékenykedett Kolozsvárott és a város patrícius polgárságához tartozott. Német anyanyelvűként, egész életében németül prédikált, de már ifjú éveiben megtanulta a magyar nyelvet, és végül a magyar nyelvű széppróza jelentős alakjává vált.
Különböző vállalkozásokat működtetett, és Hoffgreff Györggyrl nyomdát alapított, és így a 16. századi magyarországi könyvtermésnek csaknem az egyharmada az ő nyomdájából került ki.

Sborník příspěvků ze 4. zasedání k problematice písemných pramenů pro dějiny umění konaného v Praze 6. června 2013 se zabývá vybranými tématy spojenými s inventářem tradičním a hojně využívaným pramenem pro uměleckohistorické bádání. Časový záběr je od středověku do 20. století. V knize nejde pouze o představení a interpretaci konkrétních příkladů, nýbrž i o snahu zasadit fenomén inventáře do širšího kulturního, sociálního a politického kontextu. Ukázat, jak souvisí zrod a idea inventarizace s obecnějšími změnami fungování společnosti, jaký má v určitých epochách vzrůstající zájem o třídění a katalogizaci vztah k dobovým filozofickým postojům, případně k proměnám určitých sociálních vazeb. Pokouší se i vymezit pojem inventáře z uměleckohistorického a archivního hlediska a představil možnosti jeho badatelské exploatace. Komplementárně přihlíží i k dalším pramenům obdobného typu a výpovědní hodnoty.
