Nevelké dílo Síla Jména (The Power of the Name) světoznámého autora je skutečnou perlou duchovní literatury; od svého vzniku v roce 1974 se dočkalo řady vydání v angličtině a mnoha překladů. Pojednává o tzv. Ježíšově modlitbě („Pane Ježíši Kriste, Synu Boží, smiluj se nade mnou hříšným“), jež má svůj původ v evangeliu. Stala se základní modlitbou hesychastické tradice, nicméně od poloviny 20. století zažívá svou renesanci i v západní církvi. Díky ní se učíme žít v Boží přítomnosti a čerpat z pramenů spásy, k nimž máme přístup právě „v síle Ježíšova jména“.
Kallistos Ware (1934–2022), křestním jménem Timothy, vyrůstal jako anglikán, ale již v mládí přestoupil k pravoslaví. V roce 1982 byl vysvěcen na biskupa a stal se duchovním správcem pravoslavné obce v Oxfordu, kde také přednášel na téma východní spirituality. Jeho životním dílem byl překlad Filokalie do angličtiny.
