Tato učebnice je určena zejména pro výuku svářečů v Základním kurzu ručního plamenového svařování kyslíko-acetylenovým plamenem (ZK 311 1.1). Dále pak pro výuku v přípravných kurzech pro zkoušku podle ČSN EN ISO 9606-1. Je vhodná pro přípravu svářečů k získání diplomu "Mezinárodní svářeč". Prvý československý riadiaci počítač RPP-16
Počítač RPP-16 bol prvý slovenský číslicový počítač vyvinutý v Ústave technickej kybernetiky SAV v spolupráci s Teslou Orava a Konštruktou Trenčín v rokoch 1965 – 1973. Od roku 1974 do roku 1980 vyrobili v závode Tesla Námestovo 236 kusov. Bol nasadený do riadenia technologických procesov v energetike, v priemysle, ale aj v sociálnej sfére. Toto obdobie sa môže pokladať za začiatok rozvoja IT sektora na Slovensku.
Kniha je určená učiteľom informatiky a odbornej verejnosti ako základ pre ďalšie štúdium slovenskej histórie IT.
