Tretí diel cyklu Úžitková grafika na Slovensku po roku 1918. Mierny pokrok sa zaoberá profesionalizáciou úžitkovej grafiky na Slovensku v 30. rokoch minulého storočia až po vznik slovenského štátu. Ruka v ruke s ňou sa na slovenskej výtvarnej scéne presadzovala aj moderna. Jej šíritelia boli najmä učitelia Školy umeleckých remesiel (ŠUR) v Bratislave, ako aj jej absolventi združení okolo časopisu Slovenský typograf a pracujúci pre "stredoeurópsku reklamnú agentúru" Redopa (Vladimír Bahna, Juraj Stanko, Ľudovít Kudlák). Táto agentúra zamestnávala aj talentovaného absolventa umeleckopriemyselnej školy v Budapešti Ladislava Csádera. Väčšinu svojho života prežil síce v Bratislave a širšej verejnosti je jeho meno skôr neznáme, no vďaka svojim prácam ho právom možno považovať za grafika, typografa a fotografa európskeho formátu. Práve jeho tvorbe je venovaná aj najväčšia časť dvojjazyčnej, bohato ilustrovanej publikácie so stovkami dobových prác, z ktorých väčšina nebola doteraz publikovaná. Kniha vychádza v spolupráci so Slovenským centrom dizajnu a VŠVU.
