Štefan Nižňanský je výborný spisovateľ. Na svojom konte má niekoľko úspešných kníh a pred nejakým časom za svoju literárnu tvorbu získal prestížnu medzinárodnú Cenu Egona Erwina Kischa. Je treba oceniť, že autor zakotvil pri písaní. Má na to nielen vek (hoci na svoje roky nevyzerá), ale najmä životné skúsenosti, nadhľad a múdrosť, čo ho predurčuje písať zaujímavé, pritom maximálne seriózne knihy. Verím, že touto – už ôsmou - knihou nekončí, aj keď môže niekto povedať, že táto kniha patrí do ľahšieho žánru. Nie je to tak. Je v nej toľko múdrosti obyčajných ľudí, rokmi overených právd a skutkov, že sa vyrovná príbehom a historkám veľkých autorov o veľkých mestách. Je dobre, veľmi dobre, že Štefan Nižňanský napísal túto knihu a ukázal ňou veľkosť regiónu, ale aj veľkosť ľudí tu žijúcich. Sú to skutočne vzácni ľudia, roky kresaní a rokmi okresaní... Majú úžasnú životnú filozofiu. Na nič sa nehrajú a nevystrkujú sa za každú cenu dopredu. To, že sú tak trochu chválenkári, je iná vec. Podstatné je, že ich spomienky a príbehy zachytené v tejto knihe, sú pokojným vánkom spod borovíc v dnešnom viac než rozbúrenom svete. Obyvatelia tohto kraja sú neopakovateľní typickým záhoráckym rozumom, dôvtipom a kúzelnou rečou. Tá „nezáhorákom“ znie krásne, ľubozvučne, aj keď trochu tvrdo. Nečudo, veď život sa so Záhorákmi nikdy nehral. Bol tvrdý, ale pritom vzácne láskavý. A taká je aj kniha Štefana Nižňanského. Milá, pretkaná láskavým humorom, najmä však v mnohom poučná. Nielen pre Nezáhorákov, ale aj pre domácich, ktorí si vďaka nej uvedomia svoju jedinečnosť a neopakovateľnosť. Autor svojou knihou ukázal nevšednú krásu Záhoria, ale aj krásu tamojších ľudí. Krásnych svojskou krásou...

Vladimíra Jedličková (20. 3. 1878–24. 3. 1953, roz. Marie Vladimíra Olga Krumbholzová) patří mezi významné osobnosti české secesní literatury, ačkoli za svůj život mohla vydat pouze jednu svoji knihu básnických próz „Povídky o ničem“ (1903). Publikovala pouze pod literárními pseudonymy ženského i mužského rodu, z nichž je nejtypičtější „Edvard Klas“. Po smrti autorky se její prózy vyskytují jen v tematických výborech nebo studijních příručkách, ale k novému a redakčně ucelenému vydání těchto umělecky výlučných próz dochází až nyní. Jedná se o rozšířené vydání její knihy Povídky o ničem, která zároveň přinese celkový literárně historický obraz jejího uměleckého vývoje a literární pozůstalosti.
