Člověk před Bohem
Gallusova antropologie je zakotvena christologicky, předznamenání je však pneumatologické: ve své individualitě i socialitě, ve svém chápání světa, sebe i Boha člověk žije a komunikuje v prostoru působení Ducha svatého. Člověk je tak definován jako člověk před Bohem, jako Boží stvoření, jako tvor žijící v prostoru Boží přítomnosti. A právě takto zápasí člověk o dobré vztahy a dobrý život: na svém konkrétním místě, ve svém konkrétním těle, ze své konkrétní perspektivy. Proto se kniha věnuje základním charakteristikám lidského života z teologického pohledu: komunikaci (s lidmi i Bohem), hříchu (a jeho dopadům do vztahů i struktur), základům etiky (tedy založení dobrého společného života před Bohem), otázce svobody a jejích hranic a eschatologickému výhledu (k poslednímu soudu a věčnosti). Nevynechává přitom ani otázky tělesnosti, sexuality a genderu, anebo vztahu člověka a umělé inteligence.Ambiciózním cílem knihy je předložit současnou teologickou antropologii, ovšem v poučeném rozhovoru s dalšími blízkými obory: chce být jakýmsi uzlovým bodem, na jehož jednotlivé linie bude možné navázat i z pohledu ostatních disciplín.
