Zavedenie úhrady nákladov prinesie pozitívne efekty nielen pre povinné osoby, ale aj pre samotných žiadateľov, ktorí budú mať lepší prehľad o nákladoch spojených s ich požiadavkami a budú motivovaní k formulovaniu jasných a konkrétnych žiadostí. Z hľadiska vplyvov na rozpočet verejnej správy sa očakáva, že zavedenie úhrady nákladov prinesie malé príjmy, ktoré čiastočne pokryjú náklady spojené s administráciou a poskytovaním informácií.
