Kniha představuje dosud nejrozsáhlejší výbor Chlebnikovovy poezie v češtině. Překladatelé přeložili (až na výjimky, jakou je například palindromická báseň) všechny Chlebnikovovy verše z tohoto zásadního období autorovy tvorby. Záměrem bylo představit českému čtenáři neuvěřitelnou různorodost Chlebnikovovy poezie, jež se zdaleka neomezuje na jazykové experimenty a hříčky, ale poukazuje na rozsáhlé autorovy znalosti ve velmi odlehlých oborech, jakými jsou třeba ornitologie či matematika, a poodhaluje i Chlebnikovův bohatý vnitřní vesmír a obrovský myšlenkový záběr.

Výbor z básnického díla Alberta Manzana (*1955) uspořádaný a přeložený Jiřím Měsícem (*1985) zavádí čtenáře do světa současného španělského surrealismu ovlivněného poezií Generace 27, flamencem a angloamerickou písničkářskou tvorbou. Výraznou roli v Manzanově díle hrají také podněty z abrahámovských náboženství, zen-buddhismu a mystiky, které formují ústřední téma jeho práce: oslavu ženy vnímané jako bránu k B-hu a podstatě lidství. Sevření je básnická sbírka Richarda Sikena původně vydaná v roce 2005. Velice rychle se jí dostalo výrazného ohlasu, a to i díky vítězství v prestižní soutěži Yale Series of Younger Poets Competition, do níž ji nominovala držitelka Nobelovy ceny za literaturu Louise Glück. Kniha Sevření je charakteristická silnými emocemi, strhující obrazností a zkoumáním témat spojených s mezilidskými vztahy, láskou, násilím, identitou a ztrátou blízkého člověka.
Sbírka je rozdělena do několika částí, přičemž každá zvlášť i všechny společně utvářejí celistvé vyprávění. Do popředí vystupuje dvojznačná povaha lásky a touhy, které mohou člověku uprostřed chaosu dát smysl života, ale také ho zničit.
