A szerző kitér a zsidóság nemzeti lojalitásának megkérdőjelezésére, a gazdasági őrségváltás lokális folyamataira, és bemutatja a helyi közigazgatás hozzáállását a harmadik zsidótörvényhez. A kötet további részében szemlélteti a helyi sajtóban megjelent zsidóellenes sztereotípiákat, és betekintést nyújt a negyedik zsidótörvény végrehajtásának helyi folyamataiba. Šľachtický rod Stummer na Slovensku do roku 1945
Ernst Haupt-Stummer – maliar, sochár, hudobník a spisovateľ, pochádza z významnej aristokratickej rodiny bývalých moravsko-rakúskych veľkopriemyselníkov a veľkostatkárov. Narodil sa v roku 1933 v kaštieli v Tovarníkoch pri Topoľčanoch, kde prežil svoje detstvo.
Jeho predkovia získali bohatstvo a prestíž obchodovaním so soľou, neskôr s cukrom a progresívnym hospodárením na vlastných a prenajatých veľkostatkoch. Široko rozvetvená rodina žila na Slovensku na šiestich panstvách. Na konci druhej svetovej vojny museli emigrovať do Rakúska, opustiť milovaný domov na Slovensku, kde im skonfiškovali majetok.
Ernst Haupt-Stummer vyštudoval scénografiu na vysokej škole výtvarných umení vo Viedni, pokračoval v štúdiu obchodu a ekonomiky v Mníchove. V roku 1958 založil vo Viedni reklamnú agentúru. Po zavŕšení úspešnej kariéry sa stal podporovateľom mladých umeleckých talentov z rôznych kútov Európy.

So stredovekým benediktínskym mníšstvom sa v súčasnosti spája predovšetkým predstava komunít rehoľníkov, ktoré sa uzatvárali pred vonkajším svetom za múrmi kláštorov a ktorých duchovným spojivom bola Regula sv. Benedikta. Benediktínske kláštory zároveň vnímame ako významné centrá duchovnej kultúry raného a vrcholného stredoveku. Sparťania pretvorili za stáročia svoju domovinu na ojedinelú obec bojovníkov a ich jediným záujmom sa stalo umenie víťaziť. Kniha nabízí širší poučení o starších dějinách východní Evropy, které v současné české historiografii s výjimkou období Kyjevské Rusi stále chybí.
