Svoje dobrodružstvá i stretnutia s významnými ľuďmi, kráľmi, kráľovnami, vojvodami a mnohými ďalšími, zaznamenal v unikátnom diele, ktoré zo stredovekej nemčiny preložila doc. Mária Papsonová a odbornú edíciu textu s komentármi ku kronike spracovali historici PhDr. Daniela Dvořáková a DrSc. Phdr. Peter Elbel, Ph.D. z Masarykovej univerzity v Brne.
Eberhard Windecke sa narodil v kupeckej rodine v Mainzi okolo roku 1380. Aj on začal svoju kariéru ako kupec a to si vyžadovalo cesty po Európe. Windecke prežil niekoľko rokov v Erfurte, Prahe, Paríži, či Berlíne. V roku 1415 sa stretol v Nemecku s uhorským kráľom Žigmundom Luxemburským. A to zmenilo jeho život. Najskôr sprevádzal svojho nového pána na cestách po západnej Európe, neskôr s ním odišiel do Uhorského kráľovstva. Ukázal sa nielen ako schopný kupec, ale aj človek s literárnym nadaním a so záujmom o dianie okolo seba. Svoje zážitky a postrehy, ale aj klebety a správy, ku ktorým mal ako kráľov dvoran prístup, spojil do pozoruhodného diela, ktoré dnešnému čitateľovi ponúka autentický pohľad na život na kráľovskom dvore v prvej tretine 15. storočia.
Windeckeho dielo ponúka bohatý zdroj informácií k životu spoločenských elít, ku každodennosti, mobilite, spôsobu myslenia, kultúre a hodnotám stredovekých ľudí a to cez optiku “Európana”, ktorý precestoval mnohé krajiny a napokon na veľa rokov zakotvil v Uhorskom kráľovstve.
Stredoveké diela, ktoré majú priamy vzťah k územiu dnešného Slovenska a slovenským dejinám, sú veľmi vzácne a ojedinelé. Žiadne z nich nebolo napísané v slovenskom jazyku. Vznikali zväčša v latinčine a v 15. storočí už aj v niektorých národných jazykoch, predovšetkým v nemčine. Eberhard Windecke napísal svoje dielo v stredovekej nemčine, takže je viac-menej neprístupné aj takým čitateľom, ktorí ovládajú nemecký jazyk.

Poradca 1-2 / 2024 - Zákon o sociálnom poistení s komentárom
Príležitostný systém oddlženia, tzv. generálny pardon, priniesla jedna z noviel zákona o sociálnom poistení v roku 2023. Ide o mimoriadne legislatívne riešenie odpustenia povinnosti zaplatiť penále, čo znamená, že Sociálna poisťovňa nepredpíše penále alebo odpustí povinnosť zaplatiť predpísané penále. Cieľom tohto opatrenia je motivovať dlžníkov, aby zaplatili dlžné poistné v stanovenej lehote. Generálny pardon prebieha od 1. februára 2023 do 31. augusta 2023, pričom ide doteraz o najdlhšiu časovú lehotu na vysporiadanie neuhradených záväzkov na sociálnom poistení. Cieľom ostatnej novely zákona o sociálnom poistení je vytvorenie legislatívneho rámca pre zabezpečenie lepšej informovanosti a zrozumiteľnosti poskytovaných informácií o budúcich dôchodkových nárokoch z povinného dôchodkového systému. V súčasnosti, aj napriek tomu, že informovanosť obyvateľov o ich budúcich dôchodkových nárokoch z II. a III. piliera je parciálne zabezpečená na primeranej úrovni, informovanosť o budúcich dôchodkových nárokoch z I. piliera nie je dostatočná. Zlepšiť informovanosť občanov o predpokladanej výške ich dôchodku prostredníctvom pravidelne zasielanej komplexnej informácie podľa vzoru švédskej „oranžovej obálky“ je záväzkom v oblasti sociálneho poistenia vyplývajúcim z Programového vyhlásenia vlády Slovenskej na obdobie rokov 2021 – 2024 a Národného programu reforiem Slovenskej republiky 2022. Snahou Ministerstva práce, sociálnych vecí a rodiny Slovenskej republiky je postupne integrovať dostupné informácie od všetkých poskytovateľov dôchodkového poistenia alebo sporenia a komunikovať tak jednotnú prognózu dôchodku. Zavedenie komplexnej informácie je prvým krokom k dosiahnutiu tohto cieľa, v ďalších rokoch bude potrebné smerovať aktivity k vytvoreniu aplikácie integrujúcej informácie z I. piliera ako aj informácie od správcov v II. a III. pilieri.
