Vedecká monografia okrem stručného opisu jednotlivých kapitol stredoškolskej učebnice Výtvarná príprava pre 1. a 2. ročník strednej umeleckopriemyselnej školy troch autorov, ktorými boli Rudolf Fila, Ondrej Bartko a Zlatica Reištetterová, obsahuje aj malú vzorku zachovaných tematických plánov dvoch ústredných predmetov, ktorými sú výtvarná príprava a navrhovanie, pričom jednotlivé témy týchto predmetov z 1. až 4. ročníka štúdia sú v knihe ešte dokumentované aj súborom fotografických ukážok študentských výtvarných prác realizovaných v rôznych obdobiach od 60. rokov do 90. rokov 20. storočia.
