Providing a diversity of perspectives from all over the world, the awarded works bear witness to the events that shaped this past year and document in long-term projects the ongoing issues we face. Fotopublikace Konkurz obsahuje na 153 černobílých fotografií, které autor pořídil na analogový fotoaparát na konci 90. let minulého století. Vrací se tedy do zcela odlišné doby a úplně jiné společenské nálady. Jeho "modelové" spolu s fotografem poznávali do té doby neprobádané území nebo lépe řečeno ztracené oblasti zájmů, o kterých se ani dnes nemluví příliš otevřeně.
Paolo Roversi

Arriving in Paris from Ravenna in 1973, Paolo Roversi produced his first series of photographs in 1977, which were immediately picked up by the fashion press. From then on, he devoted himself to fashion photography, working for the greatest designers and for the most prestigious magazines, simultaneously occupying a position both at the heart of the fashion world and far from its ephemeral trends.
Ultimately in search of pure beauty, he formulates timeless and mysterious work, which is defined by his choice of studio and use of large format and Polaroid cameras. At the heart of his photography are his dedicated relationships with fashion designers and models, most famously with Yohji Yamamoto, as well as Romeo Gigli, Rei Kawakubo and Dior, and these fruitful collaborations have allowed Roversi to continuously challenge and renew his practice.
Conceived and designed in close collaboration with the photographer, and drawing on his archives, this book features many original prints, including some that have never been seen before. Spanning the entirety of Roversi's career, it explores his approach to his creative space and the way he treats it like a theatre stage, constantly reinventing it to suit each new collaboration.
Amos Badertscher Images and Stories
The long-awaited first career survey from photographer Amos Badertscher, who comprehensively documented a uniquely American queer underworld
Across several decades, self-taught photographer Amos Badertscher (1936-2023) made thousands of photographs of a liminal queer world: young male sex workers, drag performers, trans pioneers, and Baltimore, Maryland's inclusive, ribald nightlife. The encounters with these marginalized figures helped Badertscher understand his own queer identity and reveal a confident body of work that stakes out an important corner of queer art and aesthetics.
Made between the 1960s and early 2000s, the photographs featured here constitute an unparalleled chronicle of a culture of the era particular not only to Badertscher's hometown, but universally identifiable, one which began to fade with the movement of LGBTQ+ rights and liberation. The hundreds of images are accompanied by Badertscher's writings about the history and experiences of his subjects, further illuminating the intimate inner lives of people who were frequently dismissed, feared, and objectified by mainstream culture. Amos Badertscher Images and Stories is a landmark introduction to a figure who is now finally receiving his due as a major twentieth-century portraitist and chronicler of queer subculture.

Velká část snímků pochází z doposud nepublikovaného osobního archivu fotografa a z originálních kinofilmů, které čekaly na znovuobjevení více než padesát let

In 1962, Rainer W. Schlegelmilch had his first experience of motorsport – the 1,000 km at the Nürburgring – and it was this that sparked a lifelong passion for both Porsche and racing that still burns today.

Ralph Gibson. Photographs 1960–2024
Travelling widely, Ralph Gibson works primarily in inspired series, associated image reveries in both monochrome and colour, whose titles -The Somnambulist, Déja-Vu, Days at Sea, and Chiaroscuro-underline the particular poetic sensibility that informs his work. Starting out in 1960 with Dorothea Lange, he made his way to New York in 1967 and was soon considered in the same light as the likes of Larry Clark and Diane Arbus. The photographs and series can of course speak for themselves. But for Gibson there is a philosophy at play behind the image, and in the included short texts he proposes his thesis. Nudes, portraits, still lives, narratives-loyal to his Leica, Gibson ranges between genres and creates new categories of vision. He gets closer to things and meditates on them in a way that only the silence of the image can attempt.Produced in close collaboration with the artist, this book offers the fruit of more than six decades of image-making. Monografie Pavla Jasanského (1938–2021) je první souhrnnou publikací o díle tohoto výrazného českého fotografa, grafika a výtvarníka. Představuje komplexní pohled na jeho bohaté a mnohostranné celoživotní dílo, které se rozpíná od rané reportážní fotografie přes dlouhodobou reflexi pozdně moderní doby až k malířským a multimediálním přesahům. Publikaci editorsky připravil kritik fotografie Pavel Vančát v úzké spolupráci s rodinou autora. Kniha vychází česko-anglicky.
Odkaz Josefa Sudka/ The Legacy of Josef Sudek
Publikaci tvoří unikátní kolekce fotografií ze soukromé sbírky. Publikace je členěna do čtyř cyklů – Mionší, Příroda, Zátiší a Praha, Autorem úvodních textů, které jsou v češtině a angličtině, je Petr Helbich, který vzpomíná na Josefa Sudka při společném fotografování. American Nature
Twenty years of images by the acclaimed American photographer, pioneer of color art photography.
Mitch Epstein (Holyoke, Massachusetts, 1952) is a photographer who helped pioneer fine-art color photography in the 1970s. Focusing primarily on America as a place and an idea over the last five decades, Epstein produced iconic images of his country and immersive, visually arresting stories on the urgent political and cultural challenges America has to face as a nation. American Nature presents three seminal series (American Power, Property Rights and Old Growth) and premiers two multimedia works: Clear Cut, a projection of Darius Kinsey’s early 20th century photographs of logging in the Pacific Northwest forests of the United States set to a modern soundtrack; and Forest Waves, a multi-channel video-sound installation made in the old growth forests of Massachusetts.
The book is an inquiry into the consumption of resources by American industry and the risks that individuals undertake to preserve what is left of precolonial land for future generations. It includes a selection from all three photographic series, Darius Kinsey’s photographs from Clearcut and film stills from Forest Waves. Together, they tell the story of the resilience and fragility of the natural world. Also included are essays by acclaimed art historians Makeda Best and Robert Slifkin and curator Brian Wallis, and an in-depth interview between Wallis and Epstein, which delves into the artist’s practice, and his evolving artistic and political resolve.

Beginning with the Pulitzer Arts Foundation in St. Louis, Missouri, and concluding with the Bourse de Commerce project, located in Paris, the book features Pare’s stunning photographs of 28 contemporary projects in locations around the world, including Japan, Germany, Mexico, South Korea, Italy, and the United States. Pare’s images, most of which have never been published, expertly capture Ando’s quietly powerful approach to architectural design.
Created in close collaboration with Ando and his studio, Light and Space opens with a foreword by the architect, an introduction by architect Dominique Perrault, and four original drawings Ando created specifically for this book, printed on thin tissue paper.
The Plates section features spare layouts and immersive gatefolds throughout, with Pare’s images offering unique insights into Ando’s acute attention to light and volume and how they engage with one another. An appendix, printed on textured paper, offers additional information about each project, including technical specifications, a brief descriptive text, as well as detailed sections and plans.
