Kandinsky
The Russian painter Wassily Kandinsky (1866-1944), who later lived in Germany and France, is one of the pioneers of 20th-century art. Nowadays he is regarded as the founder of abstract art and is, moreover, the chief theoretician of this type of painting. Together with Franz Marc and others he founded the group of artists known as the "Blane Reiter" in Munich. His art then freed itself more and more from the object, eventually culminating in the First Abstract Watercolor of 1910. In his theoretical writings Kandinsky repeatedly sought the proximity of music; and just as in music, where the individual notes constitute the medium whose effect stems from harmony and euphony, Kandinsky was aiming for a pure concord of color the rough the interplay of various shades. Gauguin had demanded that everything "must be sacrificed to pure colors." Kandinsky was the first to realize this and thus to influence a whole range of artists.

A könyvhöz az egész Kárpát-medencéből gyűjtöttük az anyagot, gyakran átlépve a jelenlegi országhatárainkat, hogy egy-egy néprajzi tájegységet a lehető legteljesebben mutassunk be. A sok évszázados gyökerű népművészet ugyanis nem volt tekintettel a kényszerű történelmi változásokra: nem követte a politikai-földrajzi határokat. Hat ország több száz településén jártunk. Hiába hordtuk haza a képeket szőttesekről, faragásokról, kerámiákról, ahogy haladtunk előre az időben újra meg újra azt gondoltuk: nincs elég megörökített csipke, mézeskalács vagy kályhacsempe a birtokunkban. Milan Dobeš je zriedkavým prípadom slovenského umelca, ktorý sa etabloval na medzinárodnej výtvarnej scéne už v polovici šesťdesiatych rokov minulého storočia. Po ranom období ovplyvnenom impresionizmom a zameranom na motívy Bratislavy sa vo svojom "modrom? období orientuje na výdobytky francúzskej moderny, sústreďuje sa na autonómnosť obrazovej plochy a jej jednotlivých štruktúr. od polovice šesťdesiatych rokov sa naplno venuje konštruktivistickej tvorbe, skúma problematiku svetla a pohybu. Turner
As a blind person might see the world if the gift of sight were suddenly returned - this is how we might describe the effect of William Turner's paintings on the observer. John Ruskin, Turner's uncompromising 19th-century defender, alluded to this idea when he spoke of an "innocence of the eye" which perceived the world's colours and forms before it could recognize their significance. But to develop such a style, William Turner (1775-1851) first had to overcome the legacy of late rococo academic teachings. He was simultaneously a romantic and a realist - and yet he transcended both styles. His landscapes, far in advance of their time, have been called forerunners of Impressionism, yet they also possess traits that influenced Expressionism, and many of his late compositions are undeniably surrealistic. Turner's art cannot be bound by such classifications, and remains an oddity to art history even today. His work arises from a unique relation to the nature that it depicts: through his brilliant sketches, he found a rigorously open kind of painting in which nature sets free the use of colour. And through the workings of the natural elements - especially atmospheric light - Turner confronted nature at the point where nature itself is an image. This book opens up Turner's paintings for the eye, demonstrating that he was not simply illustrating nature, but that his pictures speak directly to the eye as nature does itself-through a world of light and colour.

Premeny sklenenej fľaše
V bohatej histórií sklárskej výroby na Slovensku osobitnú kategóriu tvorí produkcia fľaškového skla. Táto publikácia – výsledok mnohoročného výskumu uznávaného odborníka – prezentuje svojráznu kolekciu sklenených fliaš zušľachťovaných rozličnými výzdobnými technikami; niektoré z nich možno považovať za špecifikum slovenského sklárstva. Tieto artefakty boli určené potrebám rozličných vrstiev súdobej spoločnosti a predstavujú vývojovo uzavretý súbor dutého úžitkového skla z obdobia 18. až prvej polovice 20. storočia.
Popri rozsiahlom obrazovom materiáli dielo ponúka aj kompletný register historicky doložených sklární pracujúcich na území Slovenska v rokoch 1350 – 1950. Zároveň predkladá – prvýkrát v rámci doterajšej literatúry – aj ich mapové spracovanie, vrátane obsiahlej bibliografie tákajúcej sa problematiky dejín slovenského sklárstva.
Ján Mančuška
Monografická publikace vznikla jako knižní záznam inventury prací, reprodukcí, textů, projektů konceptuálního umělce Jána Mančušky (1972–2011), s jejichž mapováním se započalo v roce 2012. Projekt První inventury má i svůj termín ukončení, kterým se stala výstava organizovaná Galerií hlavního města Prahy v roce 2015.
Obsah publikace je řazen chronologicky a dále je použito členění, jež přebírá Mančuškovo třídění, které on sám použil jak pro svůj digitální archív (díla, skici, texty, reprodukce), tak i pro materiální složky díla (v ateliéru, galerijních skladech).
První inventura je rozdělena do pěti oddílů: Práce, Texty, Rozhovory, Recenze a Teoretické texty.
Složka Práce obsahuje výběr Mančuškových vizuálních, performativních, filmových a dalších prací. Součástí oddílu jsou také Explikace – kratší textové útvary, odrážející autorovu snahu o nalezení přesných průsečíků mezi jeho literárně-teoretickým přístupem. Texty jsou výběrem Mančuškou dokončených textů, esejisticky formulovaných názorů, východisek a referencí, o něž se bezprostředně opíral a jež mu v některých případech přímo posloužily jako materiál díla. Rozhovory, jichž je v knize přetištěno osm, zastávají v Mančuškově koncepci místo veřejné tribuny. Mozaiku dobových formulací doplňuje také výběr několika Recenzí výstav, které se ve zpětném pohledu mohou jevit jako místo setkávání s odlehlou interpretací, jež autora někdy motivovalo k explicitní formulaci vlastních východisek. Výběr Teoretických textů byl veden zájmem revokovat rozdílné diskursy, působení i doby, v nichž vznikaly.

A vracia sa cez banské mestá, Pohronie, Handlovú, Nitru, k západnému Slovensku (Piešťany, Pezinok, Sv. Jur, Záhorie) k Bratislave, kde žije. Na Stanových obrazoch nájdete staré Slovensko, ľudovú architektúru, drevenice, chalupy, sedliacke dvory (mnohé už nejestvujú, sú zbúrané, zničené), mestské veduty, hrady, mlyny, priemyselné krajiny, horské zátišia, kostoly - evanjelické, katolícke, gréckokatolícke, pravoslávne, synagógy... Slovenská krajina sa za 40 rokov zmenila, tak ako sa zmenil aj náš život.
