Slovenské storočie
Knihou Slovenské storočie Pavel Kosatík vystupuje zo svojho doposiaľ prevažujúceho sústredenia na české dejiny. Sleduje vývojový oblúk, ktorý slovenská spoločnosť opísala v rokoch 1918 – 1998, a dochádza k záveru, že Slováci svoj historický čas nepremárnili. Začínali z oveľa horšej štartovacej pozície než Česi, ich verejný a politický život nielenže nemal štruktúru, ale hlavne neexistoval. Na konci 20. storočia sa však táto predtým takmer neexistujúca spoločnosť dokázala zjednotiť a zbavila sa moci velikána s diktátorskými ambíciami. Slovenské storočie je tiež kniha o spoločných česko-slovenských dejinách. Český i slovensky čitateľ v nej nájde odpovede na otázky, aké sily tvorili konkrétne podoby česko-slovenského spolužitia, aj aká je česká zodpovednosť za to, že spoločný život v jednom štáte sa skončil neporozumením.

Koľkí z nás začínajú pravidelne konverzáciu výrazmi ako „prepáč, že ťa ruším“, alebo „ukradnem ti iba chvíľu“? Zdanlivo neškodné, zdvorilé frázy, v ktorých sa v skutočnosti skrývajú kognitívne pasce ničiace efektivitu. To isté platí pre určité frázy a ustálené slovné spojenia, ktoré počúvame od detstva – „ak to neurobíš, maminka bude smutná“, „no a čo, že to chceš, vieš, čo všetko by som chcel ja a nemám to?“ – a ktoré na nevedomej úrovni pôsobia ako kliatby na náš život a negatívne ho ovplyvňujú.
Paolo Borzacchiello, jeden z najväčších odborníkov na lingvistickú inteligenciu, hovorí, že: “Náš život je výsledkom jazyka, ktorý používame v rôznych kontextoch v konverzáciách sami so sebou alebo s inými. Ak budeš používať čistý a konštruktívny jazyk a zbavíš sa fráz a slov, ktoré ti ubližujú bez tvojho vedomia, zmeníš sa doslova na lepšiu verziu seba samého. Nehovorím o ezoterike ani o blúznení v štýle pozitívneho myslenia – hovorím o neurónových sieťach, o mozgových štruktúrach a o kvalitnom stavebnom materiáli, z ktorého si môžeš postaviť nanovo seba samého a svoj život. Môžeš byť silnejší než svoje návyky. Potrvá to trochu dlhšie ako 21 dní, ale nakoniec určite vyhráš. Princíp je jednoduchý – ako by hovoril človek, ktorým sa chceš stať? Môj rok 1971
Od augusta 1968 uplynulo dva a pol roka a kolesá normalizácie, cesty k čistej totalite, už sa krútili a naberali rýchlosť. Absolútna moc komunistov bola podtrhnutá a spočítaná na ich májovom zjazde. Nebolo to veselé. Väčšina ľudí chcela žiť a milovať sa, mať deti a pokoj od nejakých politických táranín a handrkovania. A – zabávať sa. Počúvali sme Johna Lennona a jeho Imagine, Eltona Johna a Rolling Stones, ale aj Collegium Musicum... V tomto roku František Venclovský preplával ako prvý Čechoslovák kanál La Manche, bol natočený film Orlie pierko a po troch rokoch zatvorili Divadlo na korze. Nečudo, Lasica, Satinský a spol. boli jednoducho nežiadúci... Miloš Forman, Jan Němec alebo Ivan Passer opustili krajinu. De stele en aiguille: Chroniques de la reconstitution d’un habit campaniforme
Réaliser un habit néolithique complet est un défi ambitieux ; cet ouvrage en présente l’aboutissement. Il est issu de mon mémoire de master en archéologie préhistorique a l’Université de Geneve, soutenu en septembre 2025. A l’aide de sources archéologiques centrées sur le Campaniforme périalpin, ainsi que de sources historiques et ethnographiques, j’ai tenté de reproduire au mieux les pratiques textiles du passé, afin d’en proposer une vision plausible. Les motifs géométriques complexes présents sur les steles anthropomorphes du site du Petit-Chasseur (Valais, Suisse), ont servi de base visuelle pour la conception du vetement. Cette étude aborde des sujets tres variés, tels que : la place de l’artisanat textile au sein des sociétés préhistoriques, autant du point de vue des modes de production et de l’investissement de ressources que de la valeur sociale ; la diversité des possibilités techniques liées a la fabrication de textiles, immense et encore peu explorée ; l’importance de l’expérimentation archéologique au sein de la recherche, et son intéret autant scientifique que médiatique. Bien qu’ancré dans des bases scientifiques rigoureuses, ce travail est également tres personnel. Il raconte, étape par étape, le long processus d’apprentissage qui a mené a la production de cet habit, avec son lot d’échecs, d’incertitudes, et – enfin – de réussites.
