Arany János elbeszélő költeménye 1846-ban született a Kisfaludy Társaság pályázatára, amely kifejezetten "népies formájú" költői beszélyt várt egy, a "nép ajkán élő" történeti hősről. A mű végül elnyerte a pályadíjat, és a következő évben könyvként is megjelent, országos ismertséget hozva alkotójának. Főhőse Toldi Miklós, a paraszti sorból felemelkedő, kivételes erejű ifjú, akinek alakjában a népmondai hagyomány és a nemzeti eposz hőseszménye találkozik. A Toldi tizenkét énekben, népies hangütéssel idézi meg a 14. századi Magyarország légkörét és egy legendás hős felemelkedését Nagy Lajos király korában. Pod střechou se věší řeč
Sborník přináší práce sedmnácti účastníků třetího ročníku přehlídky poezie, jež se uskutečnila v říjnu roku 2023. V průběhu programu se nejen četlo a recitovalo, ale mimo jiné i vystavovalo, a proto v almanachu vedle poezie a občasné prózy otiskujeme barevnou ukázku z kolekce plakátů slovenských hostů festivalu – Hogwash kolektívu, jejichž díla skvěle ladila s atmosférou festivalu, ale ladí i s tím, co se děje za okny venku i v oknech počítačového prostředí.
Zlatá tečka
Poslední tvorba amerického básníka Gregoryho Corsa (1930 - 2001), která čekala na své vydání přes dvacet let. Básně, uspořádané editory Raymondem Foyem a Georgem Scrivanim poupravují u českých čtenářů zavedený obraz umělce jako autora humorných a ironických básní (za všechny např. "Manželství") a představují jej jako vážného, sebezpytného básníka v předtuše vlastní smrti. Ironie nezmizela, jen velmi, velmi zhořkla.
