Uznávaný historik českého fotbalu a také na jiných polích osvědčený autor literatury faktu, držitel řady prestižních ocenění, se do dějin jednoho z nejslavnějších českých fotbalových klubů poprvé zapsal roku 2005 jubilejní publikací Zelenobílé století. Historie pražských Klokanů i jejich kouzelného Ďolíčku, které byl a je po víc než sedm desetiletí sám svědkem, ho upoutala tak, že se k ní teď vrací v mnohem rozsáhlejší podobě. V první části klubové kroniky, kterou teď držíte v rukou, zkušený autor zasvěceně a podmanivě provádí čtenáře obdobím od zrození klubu, lety vítězství i porážek, triumfů i pádů, podivuhodných a dramatických příběhů, putování zelenobílého týmu po cestách světem fotbalu, vroubených někdy vavřínem a jindy zase trním, až do roku 1973. Tehdy se Bohemians po tříleté pauze vrátili do nejvyšší domácí soutěže a zahájili vzestup, který v sezoně 1982/83 vyvrcholil dobytím mistrovského titulu a skvělou reprezentací našeho fotbalu v poháru UEFA.
