Německé obrněné průzkumné jednotky
Průzkumné síly byly za druhé světové války klíčovou složkou tankových divizí Wehrmachtu. Tyto vysoce mobilní divize nezbytně potřebovaly kvalitní zpravodajské informace z bojiště a motorizované jednotky velikosti praporu tyto informace poskytovaly. Průzkumné jednotky byly vybavené nejrůznějšími obrněnými vozidly a motocykly, a často operovaly daleko před frontou s cílem prozkoumávat terén, pozorovat nepřátelské pozice a odhadovat nepřátelské síly. Zajišťovaly tedy důležité informace potřebné před jakýmkoliv obrněným útokem.
V druhé polovině války, kdy se Německo soustředilo na strategickou obranu, se obrněné průzkumné jednotky stále více zapojovaly do bojových operací, a často dokonce držely určité části bojové linie. Zároveň se začaly uplatňovat modernější prostředky, motocykly byly postupně vyřazovány a na jejich místo nastoupily speciálně konstruované obrněné transportéry (Schützenpanzerwagen).
Tato bohatě ilustrovaná publikace Thomase Andersona obsahuje původní německé archivní materiály, bojová hlášení a doposud nepublikované snímky, a líčí tak celou historii průzkumných jednotek tankových divizí.

Jordanest általában a klasszikus világ vaskora utolsó írójának tekintik. Két műve maradt ránk, ezek a rómaiak és gótok története és tettei című írásai. Az egész középkor során alig volt történeti munka, mely kelendőbb, többet emlegetettebb lett volna, mint az övé s korunkban is a népvándorlás történetének írói lépten-nyomon kénytelenek hivatkozni reá és idézni őt. Jordanes ezen nagy népszerűségre azért jutott, mert fő műve, a gótok története, teljességgel nem egyéb a különféle szerzőktől átvett és összeszerkesztett anyagoknál. Míg ugyanis azok a munkák, amelyekből szerkesztett, mint például Ablabius, Cassiodorius stb. írásai, elvesztek, Jordanes művei, bár romlott szöveggel, egészükben ránk maradtak. Munkáinak a fő s egyetlen érdeme, hogy bennük ezen szerzők számunkra megmaradtak s a teljes végenyészettől megmenekültek.

Kniha Antické okná zo Stupavy. Najstaršie svedectvo zemetrasenia na Slovensku približuje nálezy odkryté počas archeologického výskumu stavebného komplexu z doby rímskej v Stupave. Pozornosť vyvolali najmä murivá, ktoré sa nerozpadali postupne ako na stredovekých hradoch, ale sa sklopili na zem. Podobné nálezy sú známe z neďalekého antického Carnunta, kde ich interpretovali ako následky zemetrasenia z polovice 4. stor. n. l. Otrasy zničili aj usadlosť v Stupave vzdialenú necelých 20 km. Publikácia prináša svedectvá o historickom pozadí vybudovania tejto usadlosti, vzťahoch Rimanov s Germánmi žijúcimi v okolí a archeologické nálezy svedčiace o jej zániku po tejto prírodnej katastrofe. Čitateľ sa dozvie aj o záchrane a reštaurovaní jedného z múrov, ktorého súčasťou boli dve okná – vôbec najstaršie dosiaľ známe okná zo slovenského územia –, ako aj o ďalších nevšedných archeologických nálezoch zo Stupavy, ktoré približujú stavebný komplex v širších súvislostiach.

Národní jednota severočeská 1918–1938
Publikace pojednává o historii Národní jednoty severočeské, která hrála významnou roli nejen v období Československé republiky (1918–1938). Jednalo se o obranný spolek, který se snažil posílit český vliv v pohraničních oblastech. Soužití Čechů a Němců se už ve druhé polovině 19. století dostávalo stále více do roviny národnostních komplikací. Obzvláště vážná situace byla ve smíšených regionech. Česká menšina se dostávala do útlaku, a proto se začaly zakládat obranné jednoty, které podporovaly Čechy zejména v hospodářské a kulturní oblasti. V severočeském pohraničí působila od roku 1885 Národní jednota severočeská, která se velmi rychle rozrůstala, a těsně před první světovou válkou čítala více než padesát tisíc členů. Činnost Národní jednoty severočeské pokračovala i po válce (v době první republiky), jelikož podle skutečných poměrů v zemi nebylo možné považovat národnostní otázku za uzavřenou. Spolek po dobu několika desetiletí podporoval českou menšinu v převážně německých oblastech, a to například tím, že pomáhal živnostníkům, organizoval množství kulturních akcí, byl činný v menšinovém školství a vydával vlastní časopis Hraničář. Autorka analyzuje činnost tohoto spolku v různých oblastech, jako je politika, školství a kulturní aktivity. Zkoumá také jeho vztah k německým nacionálním spolkům.
