Bakandamiya
Covering more than five hundred years of cultural transformation, Bakandamiya: An Elegy is a book-length epic poem set in Northern Nigeria. The poem moves from passages of mythic power to elegant lyricism with remarkable skill, subverting the legend of Bayajidda, a prince from Baghdad whose arrival reshaped the outlook of the Hausas, a Native ethnic group in West Africa. Told in part from a Bori spirit’s point of view and in part through personal lyrics, part prayer and part praise song, Bakandamiya decries the loss of culture and spirituality due to colonization from both the West and the East. Even as it subverts myths and popular beliefs and addresses some of the events that led to the Nigerian civil war, it tackles the lingering question of nationhood. In this work of lyric and poetic ambition, Saddiq Dzukogi blends the personal with the mythical, expanding the griot tradition of Bakandamiya, a poetic form from Northern Nigeria popularized by Mamman Shata. Here the form travels from orature to contemporary poetics for the first time, taking its place at the vanguard of contemporary poetry.

Sbírka Vrstva je výběrem z dosavadní tvorby Terezy Horváthové (1996) a ačkoli básně nejsou řazeny v časové posloupnosti, pozorný čtenář si může všimnout určitého rozpětí mezi texty jednoznačně inspirovanými surrealismem až po básně sevřené, kompaktní, téměř strohé. Tereza Horváthová je velmi pečlivou pozorovatelkou předmětného světa, její texty s okolním světem navazují vztah vždy nový a neočekávatelný.
Soubor čítá 58 textů, miniatur, ve kterých se rozehrávají události, jež dokáží rozčeřit čtenářské vnímání. Některé z nich se hned po prvním přečtení vpisují do paměti.
Jin a young
Jin a jang (černá a bílá) jsou podle čínské filozofie dva protichůdné elementy vesmíru, které bez sebe nemohou existovat, každý má v sobě zárodek toho druhého, a proto se vzájemně sváří a proměňují, aby se udržely v rovnováze. Young ovšem znamená mladý, ale také nezkušený. Neměnná podstata světa se střetává s našimi individuálními životy, které se chtějí odtrhnout od své podstaty, a o tom jsou básně Dušana Spáčila.

Shakespearove Sonety predstavujú nový kompletný preklad jedného z najväčších skvostov svetovej lyriky, Shakespearových Sonetov (154 sonetov v rozsahu 2 155 veršov); k nim je priradený preklad básne Milenkin nárek (329 veršov), ktorý vyšiel spolu so Sonetmi aj v prvom, tzv. kvartovom vydaní v r. 1609 a štruktúrne i tematicky na ne nadväzuje. Preklad dopĺňajú podrobné poznámky a vysvetlivky v rozsahu 500 rukopisných strán, ktoré majú ambíciu čitateľom pomôcť zorientovať sa v interpretácii sonetov a ich mnohých kontextov tým, že zhŕňajú názory editorov jednotlivých vydaní a shakespearológov od 17. st. až podnes. Kniha obsahuje aj kalendárium života a diela Williama Shakespeara, doslov a zoznam použitej literatúry. Zbierka sonetov s témou priateľstva a lásky je nepochybne jedným z najväčších klenotov svetovej poézie, ktorý aj po štyroch storočiach znie živo a súčasne. Majstrovské zvládnutie kráľovskej básnickej formy, originálna obraznosť, metaforika a dráždivá tajomnosť sú už po stáročia silným lákadlom pre milovníkov poézie.

LÁSKA NA POČKANIE..., je v poradí už autorova 18. knižná publikácia, celkovo však iba v poradí 8. básnická zbierka. Ako to už v poézii býva a podľa autora aj má byť, je výrazom pohľadu na súčasný svet, ale z pohľadu už skúseného človeka. The Marriage of Heaven and Hell
