As Long As Trees Take Root in the Earth
A hopeful, music-infused poetry collection from Congolese poet Alain Mabanckou. These compelling poems by novelist and essayist Alain Mabanckou conjure nostalgia for an African childhood where the fauna, flora, sounds, and smells evoke snapshots of a life forever gone. Slávek Hamaďák debutoval v roce 2007 sbírkou Živý nedopalky. Nyní přichází s novinkou pojmenovanou HRAJKU. Jazyk v ní používá jako zbraň, ale i náplast. Humor má křivý, ale pravdivý. HRAJKU je civilní groteska, ironická modlitba a skřekem infekcí postižené duše. Klíčila v letech 2020–2023 v době, kdy svět dostával na solar dobře mířenými údery pandemie, války a digitálního bezčasí. Některé fráze, jména a výjevy mohou dnes znít absurdně. Syrově autentický záznam o tom, co jsme v těch letech žili – a přežili, to ale neoslabuje. Ba naopak – dělá z HRAJKU nadčasový deník, škrábaný bez kompromisu.

Druhá básnická sbírka petyi stach zachycuje prožitky spojené s transgender coming outem a vnitřní i sociální tranzicí. Zachycuje cestu od uzavřené samoty k euforii z autentického projevení sebe sama, ke queer joy spojené se sebepřijetím, s pospolitostí komunity i se systémovým odporem.
Přestože jde o cestu postupného otevírání, neustále se na ní objevují zvnitřnělé pochybnosti, rozporuplné pocity, strachy, frustrace, vztek a společenské bariéry. Přes to všechno ale napříč sbírkou prochází naděje v lásku, blízkost a lepší světy, které jsou možné.
Vnitřní osvobození nakonec odráží i samotný jazyk, který se z úzkostné strohosti uvolňuje, stává se jasnějším, rozbujelejším a hravějším.
