Ondreja Kalamára poznajú čitatelia predovšetkým ako skvelého aforistu, ktorý sa svojim nezameniteľným humorom zapísal natrvalo do dejín slovenskej literatúry. Kalamár je však autor viacerých podôb a polôh. Jednou z nich je aj poézia, ktorá ho odhaľuje ako citlivého a vnímavého básnika s osobitným pohľadom na svet. Je to básnik zemitý a pritom krehký v prežívaní aj v odovzdávaní prežitého. Jeho zbierka Za/korene/nie nie je len zachytávaním pocitov a nálad, ale aj hlbokou sondou do jeho vnútorného sveta, do príčin súvzťažností medzi tým, čo bolo, čo je a nemuselo byť, čo nie je a mohlo byť, aj tým, čo /možno/ bude. Aj keď Kalamár vždy otvára ďalšiu možnosť, že nič /zlé???/ nebude. Aspoň nie v jeho poézii.
