Krátke básne sú inšpirované úplne obyčajnými vecami, ktoré sme už takmer prestali vidieť.
Mňa však stále bavia, rád ich znova objavujem a pomáhajú mi prežiť ďalšiu noc, keď túžim nájsť svetlo, ktoré vie náhle zmiznúť a dostavia sa tmavé dni bez slnka. Melancholické, smutné, keď sa človek cíti úplne osamotený v tomto nerovnom rozložení síl. Sú to jednoducho dni, ktoré dusia všetko teplo bytia.
Je to pocit, ktorý pozná každý človek a vyrovnáva sa s ním ako najlepšie vie.
Ja s ním vediem dialóg a to je moja cesta za svetlom.
Doma v bezpečí
Svět poezie Petra Ligockého je vymezen gestem trvale přítomné laskavosti vůči ostatním i sobě, které se objevuje i ve sbírkách předešlých, zde však je umocňováno zkušeností hned několika generací. Série básnických textů s latinskými názvy Pupus, Ictus a Pro avus a římskými číslicemi skládají mozaiku trojgenerační zkušenosti: nedávné minulosti, zkušenosti s trvalým handicapem i rodinnou anamnézu generace prarodičů. Tyto paměťové stopy podobně jako ve středověkých kronikách nerozlišují „bájná vypravování starců“ nebo vlastní zážitky, ale tvoří jednolitý proud.

Kniha Tao te-ťing představuje jednu ze základních knih světa a hlavní zdroj čínského malířství a poezie. V roce 1973 byly v hrobce Ma-wang-tuej odkryty na hedvábných svitcích nejstarší známé texty knihy, ale ke skutečné senzaci došlo v roce 1993, kdy byl v jiné hrobce Kuo-tien vykopán text Taa někdy z roku 350 před Kristem. Nález má stejný význam, jako měly kumránské svitky pro biblická studia. Tento překlad se vrací ke starému, syrovému Tau. Je silné, archaické a podivné. Každá kapitola knihy je doprovázena stručným komentářem literáta Wang-Piho ze 3. století po Kristu.

Clay
Poetry that finds meaning and connection in the process of creating pottery from clay. The poems in Clay look to the process of forming clay on a potter’s wheel to examine our sense of touch and texture, emptiness, fragility, and the nature of time. Martha Ronk moves through the steps of creating a pot that must be formed, dried, bisque-fired, glazed, and fired again. This practice is paralleled in Ronk’s process-oriented language that addresses how we read texture and color, the ways history and landscapes appear in glazes, Mimbres bowls that covered the faces of the dead, and Giorgio Morandi’s still life paintings of ceramic forms. For Ronk, pottery raises questions about the value of repetition, inevitable failure, and how we may become one with matter. As the potter’s hands ache and age, the bowl seems to age as it slumps or breaks. Clay includes observations from other potters and writers as well as small photographs of pots.

Beginning revisits youthful sex, running away from home and Happy Shopper before embracing middle aged sex and then returning in a (never) ending to the mother.
