Kolobeh
František Ruščák, doc., PhDr., CSc.,mim. prof., sa narodil 15. novembra 1941 v Jenkovciach, okres Sobrance. Po základnej škole v rodnej obci a gymnaziálnom štúdiu v Sobranciach absolvoval vysokoškolské štúdium na Pedagogickej fakulte v Prešove UPJŠ v Košiciach (odbor slovenský jazyk a literatúra– história) a štúdium vedeckej ašpirantúry v odbore slovenský jazyk na Filozofickej fakulte v Prešove UPJŠ v Košiciach (školitelia akademik Ľudovít Novák, univ. prof. Ján Horecký). Učil na Základnej škole v Humennom, na Strednej odbornej škole chemickej v Humennom a od roku 1975 na Katedre slovenského jazyka a literatúry Pedagogickej fakulty v Prešove UPJŠ v Košiciach a na Katedre slovenského jazyka a literatúry Fakulty humanitných a prírodných vied Prešovskej univerzity v Prešove (tam aj ako vedúci katedry). Vedeckovýskumne, publikačne a učiteľsky sa venoval štylistike a rétorike, didaktike slohu, náboženským žánrom a teoreticko-praktickým otázkam textu.
Je autorom troch vedeckých monografií, desiatok vedeckých štúdií v domácich a zahraničných odborných časopisoch a vedeckých zborníkoch. V súčasnosti sa venuje písaniu poézie; doposiaľ mu vyšli tri básnické zbierky – Láska má tvar štvorrozmerný;
So sebou a s vami; V množine života. Žije a tvorí v Prešove.

Avidya
These poems emerged from journeys of great personal significance, and out of a migrant sensibility tied to three different countries. Sensuous, droll, yearning, they consider otherwise forgotten (ignored, repressed, erased) events. In 2017, Vidyan Ravinthiran travelled to the north of Sri Lanka where his parents grew up – it finally felt safe – visiting war-torn Tamil areas overwritten by a tourist focus on the sun-spoiled South. In 2020, he, his wife and their one-year-old moved from Britain to the United States, months before the pandemic hit and the travel ban separated them for almost two years from family overseas. Avidya is a political and a spiritual collection, whose multiple poetic forms, open and closed, are shaped by myth and philosophy, and by Sri Lankan as well as global crises. It is also a book about the forms of both strength and fear that parents pass on to their children.

Beast
Mythic and familial beasts roam the swamps and moors of Pascale Petit’s Beast. These spirits of the wild haunt the Camargue of Provence, the limestone Causses and gorges of the Languedoc, Indian tiger forests, the Amazon rainforest, and her home by Bodmin Moor in Cornwall. Some of these remote places are vestiges of earth’s pristine habitats, while other wildernesses are encaged in cellars of Paris, along with the world’s last species. Their essence is evoked in lithe and luxurious lines sometimes compressed as a trapped animal. An estranged father reappears as a hunter, while Maman is an orb spider or a grand piano; both are predators. And there are earthly beasts – wild horses and bulls, lammergeiers, bee-eaters and catfish, remnants of a vanishing natural world. Beast asks if survival is possible in an abusive family and on an abused home planet, in the face of climate catastrophe, childhood trauma and war. These poems address difficult challenges, insisting that making art is an act of love and hope, and there are joyful lyrics celebrating the ineffable beauty of endangered species. My Dearest Friend
My Dearest Friend is a collaborative collection that contains English pieces and Chinese Mandarin translations by my mother, Xiaoyu Luo, and documents our relationship since she was diagnosed with lung cancer. It has 18 previously unpublished original pieces with their respective translations, and also consists of two letters we wrote to each other. The word document contains 40 pages in total.The collaborative format of the collection is used to explore themes of Buddhist reincarnation, Chinese identity, and the circularity of grief. It is a deeply personal piece of writing that pinpoints a series of life-changing moments in my relationship to my mother and life at large.

Cmúľam mangovú kôstku
Prvý slovenský prekladový výber z poézie slovinského básnika Braneho Mozetiča. Knihu zostavil a preložil Andrej Peric.
Kniha Cmúľam mangovú kôstku zachytáva Mozetičovu básnickú tvorbu od kultovej knihy Banálie (2013), ktorá bola preložená do trinástich jazykov, až po jeho ostatnú zbierku Sny v inom jazyku (2020). Za obe tieto knihy dostal prestížnu Jenkovu cenu. Mozetičova poézia je podvratná svojou vznešenou angažovanosťou a existenciálnou pravdivosťou. V jeho zbierkach z tretieho tisícročia možno pozorovať stieranie rozhrania medzi verejným a súkromným.
Brane Mozetič (1958) je básnik, aktivista, spisovateľ, prekladateľ, redaktor, antologista. Študoval komparatívnu literatúru na filozofickej fakulte v Ľubľane a rok na parížskej Sorbonne (1984/85). Od roku 1986 je v slobodnom povolaní. Vydal šestnásť básnických zbierok, dva romány, zbierku poviedok a šesť kníh pre deti. Svoju básnickú prvotinu Modrina dotika (Modro dotyku) vydal v roku 1986. Píše aj pre deti a prekladá z francúzštiny. (A. Rimbaud, J. Genet, M. Foucault, N. Brossard, N. Gassel). Patrí k zakladajúcim osobnostiam slovinskej kvír scény.
Andrej Peric (1979 — 2024) bol slovinský umelecký prekladateľ zo slovenčiny, angličtiny a francúzštiny. Slovinskú literatúru prekladal do angličtiny a slovenčiny. Bol tiež zostavovateľom antológií, redaktorom, publicistom, moderátorom literárnych podujatí, autorom sprievodných štúdií k prekladom. Študoval prekladateľstvo na filozofickej fakulte v Ľubľane. Uverejnil okolo tridsať knižných prekladov, veľa publikoval i časopisecky, svoje preklady tiež prezentoval v rozhlasových reláciách, ktoré pripravoval. Celkovo preložil diela vyše päťdesiatich slovenských autoriek a autorov (napr. D. Tatarku, J. Johanidesa, Š. Strážaya, U. Kovalyk, J. Bodnárovej, M. Haugovej).

Mongrel Kampung
The poems of Mikael Johani’s second collection Mongrel Kampung are mixed, mutated utterances of a heteroglossic headspace, a home at once familiar and foreign, backwards and forwards, I and another. Sometimes a poem is in English but refers to a world in which English is never spoken. It may contain a phrase in Javanese or Greek or Arabic or Aussie, but is intended for an audience who will never understand what it means. It may retell a dialogue in multiple languages, but in the poet’s hands all languages blur into one language. These poems are translingual mini-tomes—tirades, historiographic treatises, love letters, protest songs, errant tweet threads.
