Publikácia Umenie je určená do domáceho prostredia ako dokonalá súhrnná galéria – približuje tvorbu vyše 700 umelcov významných období dejín umenia a sprostredkúva základné poznatky o určujúcich tendenciách a vplyvoch jednotlivých období. 3. vydanie z anglického originálu ART (Dorling Kindersley Limited, London 2008) preložil Juraj Žáry. V roku 2010 za preklad dostal Prémiu Literárneho fondu za vedecký a odborný preklad v kategórii spoločenských vied.
Amnézie
Projekt Amnézie připomíná 30. výročí sametové revoluce a s ním i to, že statečné postoje jsou cenné a potřebné v jakékoli době. Na projektu spolupracovali akademici z Univerzity Karlovy, Jan Wiendl, Jan Vojvodík, Libuše Heczková, Jiří Brabec, historici z Vojenského historického ústavu a ÚSTR Petr Koura a Petr Blažek , publicisté Hana Benešová a Vlastimil Ježek, filosof Martin Palouš a další, kteří se podíleli na textech výpravné publikace.
Autor Jiří Sozanský patří mezi ty umělce, jejichž dílo bezprostředně rezonuje pulsem doby, v níž žijí. Celou svou uměleckou tvorbou se angažoval proti všem formám násilí, zvůle a ideologického diktátu, pošlapávajícího lidská práva a důstojnost člověka. Je znám jako nekonformní umělec, člověk vyhraněných názorů a postojů, kterého zajímá člověk v mezních situacích, jeho niterné rozpoložení a vnější reakce směrem k lidské komunitě. Jeho obrazy, kresby, plastiky, objekty, instalace, environmenty i performance reagují na konkrétní prostředí a společenskou situaci v poloze naléhavého varovného mementa.
Od roku 1976 realizoval Jiří Sozanský více než osmdesát samostatných výstav a účastnil se stovky kolektivních výstav a přehlídek doma i v zahraničí. Je členem spolku grafiků Hollar.
Spolu s prof. Jiřím T. Kotalíkem a svojí ženou PhDr. Olgou Sozanskou založil v roce 1992 občanské sdružení Symposion, které realizuje projekty navazující na Sozanského neoficiální aktivity ze sedmdesátých a konce osmdesátých let dvacátého století.
Činnost Symposionu je zaměřena výhradně na nekomerční projekty s širším civilizačním dosahem a zahrnuje několik desítek domácích i mezinárodních projektů
Jiří Sozanský je svými díly zastoupen v řadě veřejných a soukromých sbírek v ČR i v zahraničí.
Renaissance 1420 - 1600
During the origin of Renaissance painting in Italy, a world view was revived that enabled man to determine his own existence. In painting, new themes developed along with an orientation toward representing reality. This naturalism was influenced by Dutch painting from around 1450, and as the fifteenth century transitioned into the sixteenth, Rome followed Florence as the center of the Renaissance. Shortly thereafter, the new style radiated to other countries. In northern Europe, the Renaissance combined with late medieval currents, which also placed earthly existence at the center of attention. Renaissance 1420-1600 shows with more than 400 works an overview of the most important paintings of the era.
