Ladislav Drezdowicz
Ladislav Drezdowicz, rodák z Petrovic u Karviné, odešel z Československa po okupaci v roce 1968. Jeho druhým domovem se stala švýcarská Basilej a nedobrovolný exil trvalým námětem jeho fotografické práce. „Nepovažuji za rozhodující být Čechem nebo Švýcarem. Podstatné je, co nás všechny spojuje,“ říká Drezdowicz, který ve své knize fotografií představuje snímky z různých koutů světa.
Drezdowicz však není sběratelem efektních momentek. Fotoaparát je pro něho nezbytným každodenním průvodcem, ať již žije několik měsíců v Indii a vyučuje angličtinu děti dalitů, nejnižší kasty tzv. nedotknutelných, či se každoročně vrací na Kapverdy, kde stranou zájmu a turistického ruchu živoří ostrované, mezi nimiž našel mnoho přátel.

Szlovákia középkori templomai a romanika és a gótika korában épültek a 11. századtól a 15. századig. Ezeket a templomokat általában teljes egészében kifestették, azzal a céllal, hogy a hívő "a hit titkait ne csak szívével és eszével, de mint művészi kompozíciót és szimbólumot: érzékeivel is megragadja." Ezekről a képekről ismerték meg a hit titkait, az Ó- és Újszövetség történeteit, Szűz Mária, Jézus Krisztus és a szentek életét. Ezek a falfestmények egyfajta teológiai program szerint készültek. A szentélyben a faliképek általában az Újszövetségből vették témájukat; a szentélyt a hajótól elválasztó diadalíven az Ószövetség prófétáit és történeteit ábrázolták; a templom hajójában általában az utolsó ítéletet és az egyes szenteket bemutató képsorok kaptak helyet.
Szlovákia több mint száz templomában láthatók ma román és gótikus stílusú falfestmények, általában freskók. Kniha obsahuje moderní český překlad Rejchova raného spisu O novém systému fugy, jenž je teoretickým zdůvodněním autorova zásadního kontrapunktického cyklu 36 fug pro klavír (tento cyklus můžeme s ohledem na rozsah i obsah zařadit mezi klíčová díla, jakými jsou oba díly Dobře temperovaného klavíru J.
